This Compelling Theory Claims Ahsoka Season 2 Will Finally Solve Anakin Skywalker’s Biggest Mystery

25 years later Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menaceone of the biggest mysteries about Anakin Skywalker that remains in Star Wars may finally be revealed in Ahsoka season 2. Anakin Skywalker Star Wars The timeline has dominated the franchise for decades, but there are still a lot of things that don’t make sense about Anakin. Perhaps for this reason, his story continued to expand even after the Skywalker Saga came to an end with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

This has been particularly true in live-action TV shows, as both Obi Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka saw Hayden Christensen reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker and have entirely new arcs. In Ahsoka season 1, this included Anakin’s appearances in the World Between Worlds and, surprisingly, as a Force ghost in the Ahsoka end. Now, Ahsoka Season 2 has the opportunity to solve a big Anakin Skywalker mystery.

The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy Never Really Explained What The Chosen One Prophecy Meant

The precise definition of “balance” remains elusive

The phantom menace introduced the concept of the Chosen One prophecy, which claimed to predict a person who would bring balance to the Force. The phantom menaceQui-Gon Jinn quickly came to believe that, based on Anakin’s incredible strength in the Force and Shmi Skywalker’s claim that Anakin was born without a father, Anakin was the Chosen One. This was why he was so insistent that Anakin be trained even after the Jedi Council rejected Anakin from the Order.

Even the definition of balance, on which the entire prophecy depended, was never clearly defined in the prequels.

Beyond the notion that the Chosen One would bring balance, however, the exact prophecy remained unclear throughout the prequel trilogy. Even the definition of balance, on which the entire prophecy depended, was never clearly defined in the prequels. The Jedi often referenced Anakin’s fate to “destroy the Sith,” which suggests that his interpretation of balance was the destruction of the dark side. Star Wars never confirmed whether this interpretation was correct.

The text of the prophecy of the chosen one has finally been revealed

A Canon Star Wars book provided the exact wording of the prophecy

After the prophecy was referenced only in Star Wars prequel trilogy, a canonical book, Star Wars: Master and Apprenticewritten by Claudia Gray, has finally revealed the exact language of the Chosen One’s prophecy. The book states:

“A Chosen One will come, born of no father, and through him the final balance of the Force will be restored.”

This update finally clarified why Qui-Gon Jinn was so convinced that Anakin was the Chosen One; From the moment Shmi said there was no father, Qui-Gon knew the prophecy referred to him.

Notably, until Master and Apprentice Doesn’t explain what balance really means. In fact, this text provided in Master and Apprentice it only seems to reinforce that the Jedi may have put their own spin on the prophecy in a way that suited their goals. Evidently, the prophecy did not directly refer to the Sith, nor did it imply that balance meant the dark side would be crushed. In light of this, the true meaning of balance – and by extension, the meaning of prophecy itself – is something Star Wars movies and TV shows still need explaining.

The prophecy of the chosen one implies that the force has been in balance before

A Subtle Detail in the Prophecy of the Chosen One Raises Fascinating Questions

The Jedi of the High Republic in Star Wars.

Although the language of the Chosen One’s prophecy did not reveal the true meaning of balance, there was a word in the text that had important implications not only for the prophecy, but also for the history of the Force itself. The prophecy says that through the Chosen One the balance of the Force it will be “restored.” This means that the Force was previously in balance at some point in the Star Wars timeline.

This raises serious questions about when the Force was in balance, what that meant, and when and how the Force became unbalanced. In terms of when, there are some hints at Star Wars canon. For one thing, the prophecy is estimated to have been written around 1,500 BBY (before the Battle of Yavin), meaning the prophecy predates the High Republic Era. This could mean that the Force was in balance at some point during the Old Republic (25,000-1,000 BBY), at which time it may have lost its balance, thus necessitating the prophecy.

Baylan believed that Peridea was where the balance of force was lost

Ahsoka Season 2 Could Hold the Key to These Many Questions

Many questions clearly remain regarding the Chosen One prophecy and the definition and history of the Force being in balance, but Ahsoka season two could reveal many, if not all, of these answers. All over Ahsoka season 1, there were numerous references to the Mortis Gods, most obviously in the Ahsoka season 1 finale, when Baylan Skoll was on top of a statue of the gods in Peridea. Baylan and his hunt for the gods in particular may be where those answers lie.

The Mortis Gods were first seen in Star Wars: The Clone Warswhen Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi crash-landed on the planet Mortis. It was then that they encountered the Father, the Daughter and the Son – the three Deus Mortis. The Daughter represents the light side of the Force, the Son represents the dark side and the Father represents the balance in the Force. The Mortis Gods could therefore be the key to understanding the true balance of the Force and revealing this curious story about the loss of balance in the Force..

The Daughter represents the light side of the Force, the Son represents the dark side and the Father represents the balance in the Force.

This seems especially true given that the Father is a canonical being in Star Wars who once embodied balance in the Force before his death at the end of this Clone Wars bow. Surely, if anyone had a firm grasp of the true definition of balance, it would be him. It’s also important to note that the Mortis Gods representing light, dark, and balance suggest that the Jedi interpreted the prophecy incorrectly, assuming that the dark side had to be destroyed.

In addition to Baylan actively seeking information about the Mortis Gods, he is also convinced that Peridea was where the Force lost its balance.. Given that the Mortis Gods have such a presence on Peridea, they may be linked in some way to the loss of balance in the Force. Whether they are or not, however, Ahsoka season two is perfectly poised to reveal how the balance of the Force was lost.

Perhaps most important of all, the Chosen One himself is now confirmed in Peridea. In the final moments of Ahsoka In Season 1, Anakin Skywalker appeared as a Force ghost on Peridea, caring for Ahsoka Tano. This makes it seem even more likely that Ahsoka season 2 will finally address the remaining questions about the Chosen One prophecy.
