“They should just release you now”

In Marvel Comics, Richard Rider New
represents the Nova Corps as a galactic police officer with the power to traverse space in the blink of an eye while dressed in unique armor marked by a red starburst logo. Seen only as a group of cosmic law enforcers in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, Nova's unique version of Richard hasn't been seen in the MCU until now, with a new cosplay showing that he needs to be introduced ASAP.

A cosplay shared on Instagram by @namorcosplayThis account is full of incredible homemade costumes that focus on bringing characters from both of Marvel's live-action comic book universes to life, with each design surpassing the last in terms of the Hollywood-level effort put in for fans to enjoy.

Don't miss the chance to cosplay as Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverNamor, @namorcosplay also created and wore costumes for Doctor Doom, Baron Zemo, Guardian of the Galaxyof Ronan the Accuser and Adam Warlock, The Eternals' Ikaris, and much more, showing that with the proper commitment and dedication, the magic of real-world superheroes is achievable.

Introduced in 1976 The Man Called Nova #1 by Marv Wolfman and John Buscema, The Origin of Richard Rider's Superhero sees him chosen by a dying Rhomann Dey to join the ranks of an intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps. Harnessing the power of the Nova Force, Richard wears a sleek Centurion suit that acts as his life support system as he travels through space and helps him control his incredible powers of absorbing and redirecting energy. Not yet an official MCU hero, @namorcosplay proves that Nova's eventual jump into the live-action space can work out without a hitch.

Clips filmed by @josh_thedirector, @namorcosplay gets what he does right Nova's design is so good giving the character a simplified version of his iconic blue and gold costumewith sharp details on the shoulders, interlocking armor on the back and chest, hand gauntlets, large belt, a smooth helmet design with stark white eyes, and multiple energy discs on his body and wrists finishing off this live-action look with style. Filmed walking down a hallway of bright lights that run around him as he walks towards the camera, @namorcosplay's costume reflects the light in a dazzling way, with his spot-on Richard Rider impression sealing the cosplay deal perfectly.

Praised by @foggyknight14 with a support “Very good man, they should cast you now,” It stands to reason that much of what @namorcosplay does here, translating Richard's comical look into the real world, will hold true when Nova makes her MCU debut. – specifically, the way @namorcosplay designed Nova's golden Nova Corps helmet, piercing white eyes, and glowing energy disc-imbued chest armor. Richard Rider New will have his time to shine in the MCU when his still-in-development Disney+ show finally premieres, but until that time comes, @namorcosplaydoes doing the character justice is a great preview of what's to come.
