There’s only one theory about Tamlin that makes sense in a court of thorns and roses

Tamlin is one of Sarah Jay Maas’ characters. Court of thorns and roses series waiting to be redeemed, and this sidekick theory may be the missing piece that propels it forward in this best-selling series. Upcoming sixth book Courtyard of Thorns and Roses The universe will likely explore new relationship dynamics between various characters, including Tamlin and Elaine Archeron (whose romantic storylines have been left open). Foreshadowing throughout the series, starting with The first book, A Court of Silver Flames, suggests that Tamlin and Elaine have a deep-seated similarity.making a strong case that they are friends.

Tamlin has a dark and complicated past in the overarching plot, and is linked to none other than Feyre Archeron, Elaine’s sister. Despite all his mistakes and betrayals throughout the series, his actions during the warCourt of Wings and RuinssuggestTamlin hopes for true redemption. There’s still time (and more books) left in this series to redeem the once-lovable character, which Sarah J. Maas pointed out as a possibility for the next installment of the series. Elaine Archeron may seem like an unlikely match for Tamlin, but Mass’s recurring imagery and foreshadowing suggests otherwise.

Elaine Archeron’s character descriptions are full of images of the Spring Court

Tamlin and Elaine’s unlikely pairing has been hinted at since the first book.

Sarah J. Maas stated that Elaine Archeron will be the protagonist of her next book; Elaine is a character that she constantly describes with these flowery, spring, blooming images, to the point where she directly compares Elaine to the Spring Court in Court of the Silver FlameElaine would have loved this place. So many flowers, all in bloom, so much green – the light, bright green of young grass, so much birdsong and such warm, buttery sunlight. Nesta felt like a thundercloud standing in the middle of it all. But Elaine… The Spring Court was created for people like her.

These images match descriptions of Tamlin’s home, the Spring Court. which is depicted as a blooming, vibrant oasis of color and life. Elaine’s only notable hobby and escape from problems has been her love of flowers and gardening since the first book in the series. These interesting aspects of each character draw attention to the similarities and compatibility of Maas’s descriptions of Tamlin and Elaine.

Connected

Imagery and foreshadowing are recurring elements of Maas’s writing style, and the pairing of this pair is no different. When Feyre describes her childhood bedroom in detail, she talks about drawing a dresser for her and each of her sisters. Feyre describes her box painted to resemble the night sky, foreshadowing her future marriage to Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court. Likewise, Nesta Archeron’s box was painted with flames, foreshadowing her future powers. Finally, Elaine’s box was decorated with flowers representing the Spring Court.

Could Lucien have glamorized Elaine to simulate a marriage bond?

When the King of Hybern placed Elaine in the cauldron, Lucien’s magic may have intervened

One criticism of this theory is that Lucien Vanserra had already declared his marriage to Elaine after she was forced into the Cauldron in Court of Mist and Fury. It only makes sense to wonder why would Lucien do this if Elaine was really married to Tamlin. Explaining this issue requires analyzing foreshadowing from past books to provide more context. For example, the powers that Lucien inherited from Helion give him the ability to see past enchantments and disintegrate spells, whether he realizes it or not.

…it is logical to assume that Lucien will quickly formulate a plan and take action at such a crucial moment as this.

This theory suggests that right after Elaine became a faerie, Lucien stepped forward as her mate before Tamlin to cover for him. It is logical to assume that Lucien, known as a historically intelligent character, would quickly formulate a plan and take action at such an important moment as this. Connecting with Elaine would not be beneficial for Tamlin at this point in the series. however, Lucien may have come up with a way in which it was beneficial to him. If this turns out to be true, it will leave the door open to the possibility of Tamlin and Elaine experiencing a marital affair.

This pairing will kick off Tamlin’s redemption arc in the next book.

Sarah J. Maas has talked a lot about her characters in various interviews, hinting that Tamlyn has a future on the show. After his heroic events in AKOVARBy revealing himself as a spy and risking his life to save Elaine, Maas made it clear that Tamlin did have a heart after all. This gives hope for Tamlin moving forward in the series as he finally faced a character defining moment and decided to do the right thing and atone for his past actions.

Elaine could become the beauty of Tamlin’s beast, inspiring him to restore the Spring Court and stop hiding on the grounds of his estate in the form of a beast. While Tamlin and Elaine’s pairing may seem like a stretch since there is minimal interaction between the two characters, Sarah J. Maas is known to incorporate unexpected plot twists and unlikely combinations into her work.. Elaine hasn’t yet decided between Asriel and Lucien as a love interest, two of the more canonically supported couples, suggesting that Maas may be holding off on this reveal since Tamlin is her partner after all.

Throughout Courtyard of Thorns and Roses series, Tamlin established himself as a character with positive intentions but flawed actions. The redemption arc will highlight Tamlin’s positive qualities, including his loyalty, bravery, and selflessness. Elaine has always been described as a gentle and sweet soul filled with compassion; exactly the type of character that can bring a morally gray character into the light. Elaine and Tamlin may not be officially friends yet, but their compatibility cannot be discounted; there is an undeniable similarity between the imagery used to describe both characters, and how this combination can subvert expectations as Faysand did.
