He prepares the new players for what's to come – even though they initially don't believe him – and guides them on how to get past Young-hee's motion sensors. But although many players survive the bloodbath, the first death sends the game into chaos.
Player 196 is the first to die during squid game season 2's Red Light Green Light challenge, proving Gi-hun right when she was shot for moving. Gi-hun is still able to keep many of the other new squid game living characters, but some of them see Player 196's body and begin to run or scream – actions that also lead to death. And if Red Light, Green Light unfolds indoors, it's unlikely that the bee that lands on Player 196 will simply walk in. Red Light Green Light goes well until Player 196 freaks out about the bee, and his presence seems a little too convenient for the Games organizers. They obviously want the tournament to be a bloodbath as that is the reason VIPs watch. If the first challenge doesn't kill anyone, that would be extremely disappointing for them. And so, it seems likely that the bee was planted by Games organizers with the intention of causing panic and thus more deaths.
It stands to reason that Games organizers wouldn't mind manipulating the outcome of a challenge in a more direct way, especially one as important as the first game.
The Front Man/Player 001 twist at the end of the issue proves that Games organizers have no qualms about directly interfering in the tournament. The competition is clearly designed to manipulate its players, forcing them to make wrong choices that result in early endings. With that in mind, it stands to reason that Games organizers wouldn't mind manipulating the outcome of a challenge in a more direct way, especially one as important as the first game. They probably knew that a bee would panic someone and that its death would do the rest.
Why the frontman would game Red Light Green Light in Season 2
He knows Gi-hun will try
With Front Man knowing that Gi-hun is planning to disrupt the Games, it is likely that he will exercise great caution when running the tournament in Season 2. Your own presence in the competition is part of this, but it could extend to Red Light Luz Verde as well. Gi-hun manages to use Young-hee's shortcomings against the Games organizers in squid game season 2, proving that it is possible to gain an advantage in the tournament. squid game Season 2's mid-credits scene shows how well this goes, but Front Man cannot allow this, even during the first game.
By doing something as simple as releasing a bee into the area, Games organizers can ensure VIPs still get the show they want – and that Gi-hun's mission to save lives is not a complete success. It would be surprising if they didn't take some steps to ensure Red Light and Green Light went the way they wanted. The bee could very well be one of them, since its inclusion in the squid game season two simply feels too convenient to be anything else.
