There was a second Breaking Bad spin-off later Better call Saul that almost no one watched, Slipping Jimmy — and there’s a good reason why almost no one watched it. Since then Better call Saul ended with an equally satisfying series finale as its predecessor, there has been a lot of talk about what another series in the Breaking Bad universe might seem. Producers could make a prequel about Gus Fring’s rise to power, a sequel about Jesse hiding out in Alaska and trying to avoid detection, or an original story set in the same universe.
The possibilities are endless for a new installment of Breaking Bad franchise. Both Breaking Bad and Better call Saul is among the greatest TV shows ever made – the latter may have even managed to surpass the former, against all odds – so the bar was set very high for a new show set in this universe. But AMC has already launched a third series set in Breaking Bad universe, and unfortunately broke the franchise’s trend of producing great shows.

Why Slippin’ Jimmy Was Disappointing Compared to Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul
To be fair, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul set the bar pretty high (and Slippin’ Jimmy is an entirely different show)
After Breaking Bad and Better call Saul each of them delivered the captivating saga of a deeply complex antihero, Slipping Jimmy It felt like a huge disappointment. On its own, it would have come across as an innocuous, short-lived animated show, but since it was linked Breaking Bad and Better call SaulHe set sky-high expectations for himself. I was following in the footsteps of two of the greatest achievements in television history. It was like The Godfather Part III if The Godfather Part III it was a cartoon parody The Exorcist.
At every step, writers and producers Breaking Bad and Better call Saul put integrity and creativity ahead of everything else. They have always served the needs of their story and characters and not the needs of AMC shareholders.
