Venom: The Last Dance Director Kelly Marcel has teased more symbiote stories after the conclusion of Tom Hardy’s trilogy. Serving as the more successful entries in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, it has been revealed that the upcoming Threequel will be the last time Hardy plays either Eddie Brock or voices the Venom symbiote. Venom: The Last Dance Also serves as Marcel’s directorial debut, after being directly involved in writing the Poison The previous two movies of trilogy.

Speaking at the Sony panel at this year’s New York Comic-Con that Screen Rant Attending, Marcel revealed that the plan had always been to wrap up Eddie and Venom’s story in a three-film arc. However, the director suggested that the final movie will contain Easter eggs that could potentially set up future symbiote appearancesPointing to the vast array of stories in the original comics. This is the last Venom movie. We always saw this as 3 pictures and we wanted to tell Eddie and Venom’s story in 3 movies. The arc closes here but as you know there are many symbiotes stories in the comics.

Marcel has already hinted at more to come from Venom’s maker

While it’s still unclear who is set to play Venom’s original creator, the primordial deity known as Knull, his upcoming appearance in Venom: The Last Dance Was already shaken like Only his introduction in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. With Marcel previously describing Knull as “Too strong for ‘one and done’,“It would seem that audiences should see more of the shadowy character who stands proudly among the pantheon of Marvel’s most dangerous villains.

The question remains, however, which of Sony’s Marvel characters could potentially stand against Knull and his symbiotes once Eddie Brock and Venom are out of the picture.

As the one responsible for crafting the parasitic lifeforms known as the Klintar, or symbiotes, Any of Knull’s future appearances will likely be associated with the parasitic creatures. Just as Marcel points out, Marvel Comics has already introduced several other symbiotes beyond Venom, many of which are directly related to the otherworldly threat of their original master.

The question remains, however, which of Sony’s Marvel characters could potentially stand against Knull and his symbiotes once Eddie Brock and Venom are out of the picture. Although Stephen Graham’s toxin may be one of the Easter eggs Marcel refers to, most viewers would Ideally like seeing that responsibility fall to Spider-Man himself.

For years, audiences have wanted to see Spider-Man and the symbiote together, after the less-than-ideal version of Venom portrayed by Topher Grace in 2007’s. Spider-Man 3. However, the curious intricacies of Sony’s deals with Marvel Studios that allow Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to appear in the MCU have largely prevented such a phenomenon.

While Spider-Man: No Way Home featured a universe-hopping cameo from Hardy and hinted at a symbiote making its way to the MCU, the Poison Movies are the most successful entries in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. As such, the studio may intend to keep all future appearances to itself. Instead, perhaps the ideal way to develop more symbiote movies yet Venom: The Last Dance It would be for Sony to finally look at bringing Andrew Garfield back for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 And give him the alien showdown that he originally missed out on.
