The Worst Scrubs Episode Isn’t From Season 9 (But It Still Shows How Bad Med School Was)

Rub Season 9 is by far unanimously seen as the sitcom’s worst season, but the show’s lowest-rated episode, strangely enough, does not occur during the Faculty of Medicine was. The ninth season of the medical comedy has undergone a complete overhaul, almost making it unrecognizable when faced with Rub seasons 1-8. The new cast members, setting, and overall aesthetic did not sit well with fans, leading to the show’s cancellation.

All nine seasons of Rub aired between 2001 and 2010, and while it didn’t perform as well as its contemporaries in terms of ratings and award nominations, the sitcom’s devoted following kept it running for nearly a decade. Common Rub revival seemingly on the horizon, showrunner Bill Lawrence and the original cast will soon be able to continue the story about 15 years later Faculty of Medicine it ended. Hopefully, RubThe best episodes influence the show’s next era more than the failed efforts.

Why Scrubs Season 6 Episode 11 ‘My Night To Remember’ Is the Lowest Rated Show

The Scrubs music video episode is the only one that falls below the Med School era

It would be reasonable to assume that Rub the thirteen episodes of season 9 would all be at the bottom of the pile of IMDBclassification system. However, one Rub Season 6 episode bears the unfortunate title of the sitcom’s worst effort. Rub Season 6, Episode 11, “My Night to Remember,” is the show’s lowest-rated effort on IMDb, but a big part of the reason behind that is that it’s a clip episode. As such, it’s largely a highlight of the sitcom’s best moments up to that point, framed by only minimal new material.

Clips are often among the most hated sitcom episodes, as they offer very little in the way of new content. That being said, “My Night To Remember” is very close to living up to the rating of Rub season 9, episode 11, “Our Dear Leaders,” with just 0.5 points separating the two installments. Therefore, a genuine episode that had real effort put into it is considered little better than a rehash of old clips shown out of context. THE Faculty of Medicine pilot is the highest-rated season 9 episodebut even that only has a score of 6.5/10.

Luckily, Scrubs only made one episode of Clipshow (and it arrived strangely late)

“My Night to Remember” was alone in its category during the Scrubs season

The clip show episodes originated purely for budgetary reasons. They are an inexpensive way to extend a season, as there are often very few new scenes that need to be filmed, as the installment relies on clips that have already appeared on the show. Bottle episodes also exist to save on production costs by limiting locations and therefore how much money is needed to film them. The difference is that bottle episodes can be amazing, while clips are always a disappointment. Happily, “My Night to Remember” was Rub‘single episode of clip show made over its nine-season run.

Like this Rub‘ rare decision to do just one clip episode, their only effort in the category penetrated deeply into the sitcom’s run. Other sitcoms, especially those made at the same time as Rubnot only did it have several music video shows, but the first of them often appeared much earlier. For example, Friends had an impressive six episodes of clipswith the first in season 4 and five more in consecutive seasons between seasons 6 and 10. Fortunately, Rub was much less willing to use the sitcom trope.
