The Walking Dead’s main group has two new additions that will help put an end to the zombie outbreak

Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2.

After Undead:Daryl DixonAt the end of Season 2, the franchise’s core group of survivors gained two valuable additions that could play a big role in ending the zombie outbreak. As an inevitable result Undead Branching out into a multitude of different spinoffs, its characters have spread far and wide across the map.

Regardless, Rick Grimes’ core group of survivors remains anchored in the network of communities that have gradually formed throughout the world. Undeadthere are eleven seasons. The Commonwealth became the de facto capital due to its size, but Alexandria, Oceanside, a rebuilt Hilltop, and potentially even the remains of the Civic Republic are all included in the prosperous alliance.

Very little has been seen of these communities since Undeadis ending, but the hope of a reunion remains. Even though Undead season 12 never happens, a crossover was teased and Gabriel’s cameo in Those who live demonstrates how individual characters can move between shows. When the franchise finally returns focus to its core group, however, there will be two new additions who could make significant contributions to solving the problem. Undeadzombie outbreak forever.

Laurent was one of France’s great hopes – now he can help The Walking Dead community

Is Laurent the next Rick Grimes?

In Laurento, UndeadThe country’s main group gained a promising new leader for the future. Daryl Dixon season 2 ends with Laurent flying off to live in the Commonwealth, while Daryl and Carol take the long way home after failing to get on the same plane. Laurent was hailed as a child prodigy throughout the Daryl Dixon spinoff, and although his idol status was due in part to Union’s mistaken belief that being born to a zombified mother made him immune to the virus, the young man also possesses many qualities worthy of a future community leader.

Although it is highly unlikely that Laurent enjoys natural immunity to the zombie virus, Daryl Dixon never conclusively ruled out the idea.

Despite not being old enough to grow a beard, Laurent has developed a unique philosophy about life and has also demonstrated a powerful way of connecting with strangers on a deep emotional level. From grieving survivors to your own enemies, Laurent is a talented influencer of hearts and minds. In just two seasons of Daryl Dixonthe child convinced Codron to switch sides, persuaded Anna to help him escape, and turned the famously cold Daryl Dixon into a father figure. Even Carol couldn’t help but be affected by Laurent’s empathetic nature.

So influential is Laurent, Daryl DixonThe main villains, Genet and his Pouvoir du Vivant group, invested enormous amounts of time and resources into his capture. Laurent is the closest thing to a natural leader Undead has (without the surname “Grimes”), and the boy from France would perfectly complement the more battle-tested Judith as co-leader of the Commonwealth 15 or 20 years later Undeadtimeline. Among them, Judith and Laurent have a realistic chance of bringing civilization back to Undeadworld.

It should also be noted that while it is highly unlikely that Laurent enjoys natural immunity to the zombie virus, Daryl Dixon never conclusively ruled out the idea. No one can say for sure what it means in scientific terms for a child to be born to an undead mother, and if Laurent really is resilient, his blood could lead the charge to exterminate the zombies for good. If not, the Community will still be infinitely better with your presence.

Ash’s abilities will be a fantastic complement to The Walking Dead’s Eugene

Ash and Eugene could change the world of The Walking Dead for the better

Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Ash (Manish Dayal) trying to fix the plane in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

Also joining the Commonwealth later Daryl Dixon The season 2 finale will be Ash, the pilot of the plane that transports Laurent from France to the United States. Ash is in no way cut out to be any kind of leader and is certainly not immune to the zombie virus. Worse than that, Ash is actually pretty poor at post-apocalyptic survival in general and would have died multiple times in France without Daryl and Carol’s help.

What Ash brings to the table – and the reason he’s survived so long after the outbreak – are deeply impressive mechanical and engineering skills. Ash built a fully functional, self-sustaining compound complete with fuel, food, security, and electricity, and this creation protected him through most of the zombie apocalypse. If that wasn’t enough, Ash also learned how to fly and maintain aircraft during his downtime. What Ash lacks in field skills, therefore, he more than makes up for in sheer ingenuity and invention, which immediately draws comparisons with UndeadIt’s Eugene.

Although not as awkward in social situations, Ash would be a fantastic companion for Eugene in the Community. Bringing together your knowledge would allow UndeadUK allied communities to make technological and structural advances that would otherwise never have been possible, bringing the network of allies one step closer to restoring the world.

Could Laurent and Ash return to The Walking Dead?

If Ash and Laurent return to the franchise, how could that happen?

As season two ends with Daryl and Carol heading to England, Daryl Dixon Season 3 will be set primarily in Spain, effectively ruling out any kind of significant appearance from Laurent or Ash. After everyone worked so hard to get him to the Commonwealth, Laurent is unlikely to insult their sacrifices by flying back to Europe. Ash might try to retrace his steps and get the two friends he left behind, but he would have no way of knowing that Daryl and Carol had already moved from France to Spain.

As a result, any character’s perspective appears in Daryl Dixon season three seems very unlikely. However, other options are on the table. A potential Undead crossover was discussed by franchise overlord Scott M. Gimple, and many plot threads remained unanswered – Morgan looking for Rick, Assignment 2, the fungus weapon from World Beyond – are ripe for the continuation of such a project. Even Daryl’s story can’t end until he finally reunites with Rick Grimes. In any type of project that brings together all factions Undeadof the cast together, Laurent and Ash are expected to join.

If a crossover never happens, we could imagine that, at the very least, Daryl DixonThe series finale will end with Daryl returning to the Commonwealth and being greeted by a beaming Laurent, setting up possible adventures to come. After compelling performances in the Daryl spin-off, there simply must be some kind of future in the Undead franchise to Louis Puech Scigliuzzi and Manish Dayal, and Gimple confirmed this, stating: “There are different things that I’ve been working on, and I absolutely toyed with how Laurent could fit into those things in America.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon It’s clearly not the end of the road for Laurent and Ash, then, and whenever they reappear, the Commonwealth will almost certainly be a better place to have them around. Daryl Dixon may have left a big hole when he departed the Commonwealth and was subsequently kidnapped by Pouvoir du Vivant, but the trip ended up putting UndeadThe survivors are in a better position than when Daryl was last there.
