The latest trailer for Venom: The Last Dance was released, and a tease for the film’s villain has me worried that the titular Marvel Universe antihero won’t survive the film’s events. The last one Poison Movie stands to be the best of the series, giving the character a satisfying conclusion, and the new Poison 3 Trailer helps show how the scale of the story will grow even bigger than the previous films. While Venom has faced some iconic foes in his previous films, including Carnage, the latest footage shows that an even greater threat awaits him in the story of Venom: The Last Stand.
Many theories suggest that Venom will fight Spider-Man in the upcoming sequel. However, I think that is less likely with every bit of promotion for the film. While the end of Venom: Let it be carnage Sent the antihero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this was quickly restored Spider-Man: No Way Home. After that, I believe that the franchises will be kept separate. The offer became clear after the last one Poison Trailer, which shows one of the biggest threats that Eddie Brock has ever faced in the comics.
Venom: The latest dance introducing Knull makes it seem impossible for Sony’s Venom to survive the movie
The Venom 3 villain is so much more powerful than anything Eddie Brock has yet faced
The new trailer for Venom: The Last Dance Introduces a ridiculously powerful villain in Knull. Knull, often referred to as the King in Black due to his association with the Celestials, is of a completely different scale than anything Eddie Brock has yet faced in his Poison films. Knull is the creator of the symbiotes, and is often seen as their god. He is an evil and violent supernatural entity with incredible powers that transcend the abilities that Venom has. As a lesser symbiote, I don’t believe it will be easy for Venom to stand up to this enemy.
Venom has only faced other symbiotes in his previous films. Carnage and Riot provided Venom with incredible challenges despite only being on the same level of ability as the titular hero. Stepping up from other symbiotes to a conflict with their creator will be a baffling increase in difficulty for Venom. I struggle to imagine any conflict with Knull that wouldn’t end with Eddie or Venom’s deaths, especially as it’s played out in the comics thus far.
Venom 3 has been teasing Venom’s death for a while now
The Last Dance will be the antihero’s final film
Poison 3 has long been confirmed to be the last Poison film, and this setup suggests that some finality is in store for the character. The first trailers lean into the concluding aspects of the story, and the title itself, The Last DanceClearly refers to an end for the character. Poison was the most successful film in Sony’s universe of Spider-Man characters. However, it appears that the story is soon coming to its natural conclusion, compounded by the film’s tagline, “Until death they part.”
With the introduction of Knull, there will be little to do with Venom in the series of films. Fighting a god is a challenge that is of an incredible scale, and seems to be a logical conclusion to the story of the poison.. With this set up to end the character’s story, it makes sense that Sony chose to go as big as possible in the culminating film, to give Venom the sendoff he deserves.
Sony killing off his venom would make sense given the symbiote treasures of the MCU
A different version of Venom will likely appear in future Tom Holland Spider-Man films
With the popularity of Venom stories, it makes sense that a symbiote arc for Tom Holland’s MCU Spider-Man is in the character’s future. Another piece of symbiote is left behind in No way homeTheories have swirled about Venom in the MCU following The Last Dance for years. however, It can’t be that a significant crossover between Tom Hardy’s Venom and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is happening anytime soonMaking it more likely that a new Venom is planned for the MCU that will put a different twist on the character.
After the events of Spider-Man, Continuing the Sony version of Venom with Tom Hardy is only likely to confuse audiences. As a result, Venom will likely be finished after the film, which could mean a truly violent and bombastic ending. Whether Eddie Brock, the symbiote, or both characters die in the film remains to be seen; However, I believe that it is unlikely that Venom will get a complete happy ending by the close of the film.
Venom is a popular character, and there will surely be other iterations of the antihero in other Marvel media after the release of The Last Dance. however, Poison 3 has been described as a conclusion to the character’s story, suggesting that Eddie Brock and his symbiote partner will die in the upcoming film rather than start a new chapter. Venom: The Last Dance Will likely be the last appearance of this version of the character, although I don’t believe it will be the end of Venom overall.
