Changing Rook’s appearance is now easier for players than ever before in Dragon Age. Dragon Age: The Veil Guard is the newest entry in a series that has been dormant for ten years, but this long hibernation has brought many important changes. As in previous games and other fantasy RPGs, players can create their own custom character to play with. However, unlike previous games, The Veil Guard allows players change their appearance after they have already started the game.
If the players in Dragon Age: The Veil Guard After a while, they feel like they no longer want to look as silly or serious as they did at the beginning of the game, they now have the option to modify themselves anytime. This is definitely a welcome change compared to previous games, whether it’s just adding the option in the DLC or not having it available.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard allows you to change your character’s appearance
Become a new person whenever you want
Unlike previous games in Dragon Age series, The Veil Guard allows players to change their appearance after they have already started the game without the need for any DLC. Both Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Inquisition included a way for players to upgrade their appearance called the Mirror of Transformation, but it was not included in the base game. Dragon Age: Origins did not include the Mirror of Transformation at all, although could be added to the game through fan-made mods.
The Veil Guard not only allows players to update their appearance at some later point in the game, but it also allows them to return to the Mirror of Transformation whenever you wantproviding a new level of freedom for players. Because many new players want to jump into the real game, they may rush through character creation and regret the choices they made.
How does the transformation mirror work?
Located right at the lighthouse
The Mirror of Transformation is available very early The Veil Guardso players can update their appearance almost immediately if they are dissatisfied after completing character creation. Once players arrive at the Lighthouse, they will have access to the Mirror of Transformation inside the infirmary with Varric. It is in the corner of the room, near a bookshelf. This location is at the end of the game’s first mission, “The End of the Beginning,” so players don’t need to jump through many hoops to access it.
To upgrade your characters’ physical appearance, players must simply interact with the Mirror of Transformation. It is important to note that the Mirror will only change the player’s surface-level attributes. Players cannot change any basic options such as class, bloodline, or faction. The Transformation Mirror allows players to modify their head, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, makeup, body and body art, as well as their names and voice. The Mirror does not allow players to change their pronouns and gender identity.
The Transformation Mirror Should Never Have Been DLC
Allowing players to change whenever they want is an improvement
The magic mirror has made appearances in the past Dragon Age games, but never as part of the base game and as an option incredibly early in the story. It seems obvious to allow players this level of control over their own appearance, but past Dragon Age Games didn’t make everything as easy as The Veil Guard he does. This new addition marks one of the room’s many improvements. Dragon Age made for the long-running series.
For players to fully immerse themselves in a game like Dragon Age series, is better for them to be able to present themselves however they want. It’s very frustrating to make a mistake in character creation that players will have to live with for the next 80 hours of gameplay or consider restarting the entire game if they aren’t very far along. Dragon Age: The Veil GuardThe update is a very welcome quality of life change that players may overlook, but many will enjoy the opportunity to adjust as the game progresses.
