Power Rangers Hexagonthe infamous Power Rangers season that never happened, would have made up for the show’s most iconic rivalry. Writer Amit Bhaumik, who worked in 2002 Wild Forcehas since shared his plans for what would have been Power Rangers season 11. Considering how Disney took over the franchise when Wild Force was still up in the air, any pre-existing plans for season 11 were abandoned as the franchise moved into a new direction. Power Rangers transferred production to New Zealand, with Ninja Storm the first season being entirely produced and released by Disney.

Power Rangers Ninja Storm was based on Hurricane Ninpu Sentaibut Bhaumik’s original plan for the show’s version of this Super Sentai the series was very different from what we got. Instead of a standalone story with all-new characters, the “Forever Red” writer conceived of Season 11 as a legacy season that would bring back Tommy Oliver as the head of an organization called Hexagon — hence the Power Rangers Hexagon title. One of the ideas was that Tommy would mentor the three main Rangers, while Jason, the original Red Ranger, would mentor a separate team.

Hurricane has two distinct teams of heroes, the Hurricanegers and the Gouraigers. In Power Rangers Ninja Stormthese were the Wind Rangers and Thunder Rangers respectively. While these were just the first ideas Bhaumik had for his Season 11 version, Power Rangers Hexagon would have seen the three main Rangers – Red, Blue and Yellow – working for Tommy as part of the Hexagon. The Hexagon would also serve as a giant command center for multiple Power Rangers teams, and the idea was to bring back characters from previous seasons.

Jason wouldn’t have been a fan of Tommy’s plan for the Hexagonwhich is why there would be a “civil war” element to the season. The three main Rangers, guided by Tommy, would clash with the Crimson Red and Navy Blue Rangers, guided by Jason. In other words, Power Rangers Hexagon It would have been the culmination of the rivalry between the original Red Ranger and the original Green Ranger, which began in 1993. It’s true that Tommy and Jason were friends, but their leadership styles were very different.

Jason and Tommy were never in the same episode again after “Forever Red”

The iconic Power Rangers characters never interacted on screen again

Amit Bhaumik wrote fan favorite “Forever Red” Power Rangers crossover episode that brought Jason and Tommy together alongside all the other MMPR Red Rangers at Wild Force. Therefore, it is safe to say that Power Rangers Hexagonwhich would have been released less than a year after the Red Ranger crossover, would have been built off of “Forever Red.” One of the best things about “Forever Red” is how it brought together characters from different eras of the series who had never interacted on screen before. “Forever Red” also teased that Jason and Tommy didn’t get along very well.

However, not only Power Rangers Hexagon never happened, but Jason and Tommy were never in the same episode again – at least not without the helmets and played by Jason David Frank and Austin St. Tommy would appear again in Dino Thunder as a main character, as well as in Super Megastrength and Super Ninja Steel for cameos, while Jason would only appear again in Beast Morphers. Although the Hexagon idea seemed very exciting, Ninja Storm it was a great Power Rangers season on its own.
