The new DC Universe is set in a reality built on the evil of Darkseid, and introduces new versions of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman who are underdogs against an entire world of darkness. Of course, these new heroes need new versions of their villains, and Ultimate Batman #1 represents the Joker.
On the last page of the book by Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, Frank Martin and Clayton Cowles. Ultimate Batman #1fans meet the Ultimate Joker. The issue is told from the perspective of Ultimate Alfred Pennyworth, a version of Batman’s butler who in this reality is a badass mercenary tasked with taking on the Dark Knight. As the story ends, he hears rumors about his previous target – a deadly assassin known as the Joker.
Fans only see glimpses of the Joker, but learn a surprising amount. In this continuity, the Joker is a billionaire who, like the popular Batman, has traveled the world honing his skills. The comic explains it his name is Joker because “The guy never laughs. Over nothing. Never”, implying that he is prone to killing anyone who shows a sense of humor in his presence. While the popular Joker never stops laughing and presents his murderous crimes as comedy, the new Ultimate Joker is his opposite – a grim killer who allows no levity in his presence.
The new Joker fulfills the Ultimate Universe’s promise to strip the DC heroes of every advantage they’ve ever had.

The Ultimate Joker Never Laughs
…And He punishes those who do it
The original Joker took his name from the playing card theme that defines his aesthetic, although later stories established that the name also refers to his nihilistic philosophy where life is the ultimate joke. The Joker’s white skin and green hair were the result of falling into a vat of chemicals during his first encounter with Batman, giving him a unique look inspired by the 1928 German Expressionist film. The man who laughs. The Joker is considered DC’s most sadistic villain, and numerous stories have made it clear that his ending is to end human life on Earth… once he’s done “playing” with Batman..
So it’s a challenge for the Ultimate Universe to present a version of the Joker that is different from the others but still feels supremely evil. Interesting, the comic turned him into Dark Bruce Wayne, a billionaire who traveled the world honing his abilities (Though in the case of the Joker, he kills his mentors once he knows everything he can.) The Ultimate Joker also looks like a regular human, only his green eyes match the iconic version known to fans since 1940.
The Joker has been constantly reimagined in both comics and films, thanks to Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck and Heath Ledger’s enigmatic character. Dark Knight an antagonist that shows the many ways a villain can be interpreted. However, despite these various versions, DC never seriously introduced fans to the Joker, who hates comedy and laughter. It’s interesting to see how “Joker” is introduced as an ironic codename, and the reveal begins to establish how a Joker born in Darkseid’s reality will differ from the original. One thing remains the same: when the Joker walks into a room, everyone else is suddenly focused on getting through the experience.
The Ultimate Joker is Darkseid’s version of what Batman’s nemesis would be like in a world where evil reigns supreme.

The Ultimate Universe is built on the evil of Darkseid
Ultimate Joker – version of the original “God of Evil”
The Ultimate DC Universe has officially launched in DC All In Special #1. In this comic, Darkseid planned his own death by escaping DC’s mainstream reality and his fixed place in the cosmic order. With his spirit of the God of Evil escaping to a plane known as the Otherworld, Darkseid took control, warping reality until he created a world in which evil is the dominant force and heroism is the dominant force. “villain, opposing force.” Although this world has its heroes, their lives are defined by the fact that they live at a disadvantage.with Darkseid declaring that they will “a little chaos, not the system itself.”
According to Darkseid’s vision, Ultimate Batman #1 introduces Bruce Wayne as a city engineer who has lived in Gotham his entire life. Despite going through all the training and preparation to become Batman, he is working with few resources other than his brilliant mind and is currently facing off against the Party Animal gang, led by a new version of his underrated villain, Black Mask. Killing children and innocents on a whim, the Party People embody the vicious chaos that has long defined the Joker, making it clear just how different the new Clown Prince of Crime must be to stand out as a true force in this reality.
The comic confirms that The Joker trained with Ra’s al Ghul’s League of Assassins and was subsequently killed.making it clear that he is already one of the most skilled and deadly men in the world. How he got his billions is still a mystery, but the comic shows him visiting employees at a semiconductor manufacturing plant, suggesting he may be an industrialist. Image of Joker’s helicopter pilot warning his co-pilot never the joke in front of the Joker makes it clear how scared he already is.
The famous “War of Jokes and Riddles” shows us what to expect from the new anti-humorous Joker.

The Joker is at his deadliest when he stops laughing.
We’ve already seen the unfortunate Joker, and he tore Gotham to pieces
The Joker’s humor is a key aspect of the character, but he has I stopped smiling before. Tom King and Mikel Janin arc “War of Jokes and Riddles” Batman Volume 3 followed the gang war that broke out between the Riddler and the Joker, caused by the Joker losing his ability to laugh. While the laughing Joker is terrifying, the frowning Joker was even worse, as the Joker forced Gotham’s villains to choose a side and then turned them against each other, turning the city into a war zone.
Countless innocent people died, and the conflict took Batman so far that he eventually tried to kill the Riddler, with only the Joker stopping him from breaking the rule that defined his quest as a hero (and subsequently regaining his sense of humor). saw in “The War of Jokes and Riddles”, I would do anything to find my joy of life againAnd Without the need to play off his crimes as a joke, he was a ruthless and very tactful gang leader.. If “Ultimate Joker” is anything to go by, Batman will be facing a force of nature when they eventually collide.

DC presents the Joker as a truly unique threat
It will be interesting to see how Ultimate Batman The Joker’s character grows in subsequent issues. It’s already clear that he will be a long-lasting villain – the one whom the comedian periodically visits in preparation for his arrival in Gotham. It is quite possible that later in the story the Joker will undergo some kind of transformation, giving him the iconic look familiar to fans, or a new variation of it. However, it’s clear that DC wants this new version to be as unique as possible so he can remain a “normal” person.
Ultimate Batman actually introduces multiple versions of regular Batman villains, including Killer Croc, Two-Face and the Penguin, as Bruce Wayne’s friends, giving a hint of just how far this reimagining will go. Because of this, nothing about Ultimate Joker It’s safe to assume that Gotham’s biggest villain will once again become a terrifying mystery.
