NOTICE! This article contains SPOILERS for Season 3, Episode 8!MGM+ Of Season 3 Episode 8 ends with a shocking twist for Fátima that gives more credence to a dark theory about her baby’s true nature. In Of In season 2, Fátima was shocked to discover that she was pregnant, as she was told before arriving in the city that she could not have children. All over Of Season 3, Fátima’s pregnancy became more upsetting for her unusual symptoms, which include loss of teeth, sharp stomach pains, development of cravings for spoiled foodand, frighteningly, bloodthirsty.
At the end of Of Season 3, Episode 6, Fatima visits Kristi and gets an ultrasound, which surprisingly fails to detect any trace of a baby inside her. However, Fátima is still convinced that something is inside her, and her symptoms continue to support this. The end of Of season 3, episode 8 so watch Elgin confirms that Fátima actually has a baby growing inside her – it’s just not hers. The full implications of this line are not yet clear, but it lends substantial support to the theory that Fatima and Ellis’ baby is not exactly human.
Elgin’s quote about Fatima’s baby supports the theory that it is actually a monster
Elgin reveals the baby isn’t technically hers
It has become quite clear that Fátima is in danger due to the baby growing inside her, and a popular fan theory claims that the baby is actually one of the OfThey are nocturnal monsters. The origins of the city’s monsters that hunt at night are still unclear, but based on what they found during the autopsy of the dead monster known as Smiley, it is believed that they were once human. Fátima’s pregnancy may offer an alternative explanation for the origins of some monsterssuggesting that some with supernatural origins could have human hosts who gave birth to them.
As far as residents know, a baby has never been born in Ofcity, which makes the circumstances of Fátima’s pregnancy even more suspicious.
The baby being one of the OfMonstrous beings would help explain why it didn’t show up on the ultrasoundwith certain versions of this theory suggesting that a nocturnal monster baby may only appear if the ultrasound is done at night. Furthermore, the monsters have demonstrated a certain taste for blood by destroying and killing many of the Ofcharacters now dead, with the baby inside Fátima also forcing her to consume blood from Nicky’s corpse. After Boyd killed Smiley, the monsters may be trying to get their numbers back, and impregnating Fatima may be their twisted tragedy.
Elgin now holds Fatima captive in the basement while he tries to protect the baby, which he claims is not hers, only fuels this theory. Elgin tells Fatima that the only way the baby will be safe is if she stays there, which raises a lot of supernatural warning signs given some of the Ofthe other main characters had dead bodies and visions in that part of the basement. Elgin apparently learned the truth about the baby from the ghost of the Kimono Womanwho may believe that the birth of this potential “baby creature” will help free everyone in the city.
Fatima’s baby being a monster would be a huge hint at her death
It is not likely that Fátima will survive the birth of a creature baby
If Fatima’s baby is indeed one of the town’s creatures, then the show may have already sealed her death. Considering how much the baby has already tortured her inside her body, Fatima’s birth process may be too horrible for her to survive. Furthermore, with Fátima trapped in OfIn the mysterious root storehouse, it’s hard to believe she will have enough sustenance to survive after having the baby. The baby’s desires have already taken their toll on his body and will only get worse if he turns into one of the city’s monsters.
Elgin told Fátima that she needed to stay there so that the baby to stay safe, but he didn’t say anything about Fatima’s safety or the potential of getting out of this situation alive.
It already seems that Fátima is on the verge of death in Of season 3, episode 8, but Elgin may be using the blood he drained from himself to supply more to Fatima. Your blood may be what the baby will need to consume to survive, especially if apparently already consuming much of Fátima’s life supply. Elgin told Fátima that she needed to stay there so that the baby to stay safe, but he didn’t say anything about Fatima’s safety or the potential of getting out of this situation alive.
How does Fatima’s baby connect with the woman in the kimono?
Why did the woman in the kimono want to take Fátima and the baby to the basement?
Another mystery created by Elgin’s final line to Fatima in Of Season 3, Episode 8 is how the baby is connected to the Kimono Woman’s ghost. THE the spirit used the polaroid photos to take Elgin to the basement, find the corpse there, draw his own blood and trick Fátima into going there. In Of Season 3, Episode 7, Elgin visited the basement and asked the ghost, “Is this where it happens?” It is unknown what “it” is, but the new context of episode 8 suggests that she may have shown him something from the future in relation to the baby.

That’s it It’s possible that the Kimono Woman lost a baby in the city and needs Fátima’s so she can be “saved.” Another interpretation could be that Kimono Woman needs to hand the baby over to some supernatural force in the basement to be freed or prevent some atrocity from happening. Given that it was the only location Miranda thought would keep Victor safe from Christopher, OfKamono’s sinister supernatural forces may not be able to enter that part of the basement, which may be why Kimono Woman believes the basement can protect the baby.
