Tom Taylor, Lucas Meyer and Adriano Lucas. Dark-winged Queen Storyline comes to a close Titans #15. In this issue, fans witness Raven and the Titans battling her dark adversary, the Dark-Winged Queen, along with her father, Trigon. However, the story takes a turn when the two ravens settle their differences and decide to merge.
Despite the union, the Dark-Winged Queen and Raven still lack the power to defeat Trigon. Fortunately, Raven is not alone in her fight; The rest of The Titans volunteer to become temporary gemstones in her crown, empowering her to unprecedented levels. And essentially crafting DC’s own version of an ‘Infinity Crown.’
“Titans Together”: Nightwing’s Titans come together to create Raven’s Soul Gem Crown
Raven’s Soul Gem Crown is the DC equivalent to Marvel’s Infinity Gauntlet
Earlier in the Titans series, the Dark-Winged Queen fashioned a crown of soul gems comprised of Raven and her half-demon brothers. However, Tempest successfully destroyed the crown, freeing Raven from her imprisonment. Despite Raven and the Dark-Winged Queen now being one, Raven doubts her power to take on Trigon without the crown. Nightwing responds by telling her to build a new one with the Titans. He then calls out the iconic Titan catchphrase, “Titans Together,” Which is immediately followed by the Titans being forged into gems and assembled to form a crown that gives a whole new meaning to the Titans coming together as one.
The comparison between Raven’s Titans-infused crown and Marvel’s Infinity Gauntlet arise from the parallels between the Crown’s gems and the Infinity Gauntlet’s stones. Like the Infinity Stones, each of the Soul Gems boasts different powers, reflecting the individual abilities of each Titan. Ultimately, when combined, they create an overpowered weapon that the wearer can use to wield unparalleled power. Visually, the Infinity Gauntlet and the Titan Crown are also similar, with multicolored ‘stones.’ Therefore, this is the closest thing that DC has to a version of the Infinity Gauntlet, even if the power levels and capabilities are not an exact match.
Raven channels the abilities of each Titan to defeat Trigon
Tempest reveals the darkest use of his powers – stopping Trigon’s heart
Adorning her crown with the Forged Gems of the Titans allows Raven to channel and amplify each Titan’s powers, boosting their overall power levels to unprecedented heights. Through Beast Boy’s story and the accompanying art, fans witness Raven harness the abilities of her teammates in her battle against her father. Notably, Garfield calls out Raven uses Dana Troy’s willpower, Cyborg’s Apokoliptian technology, and the full force of the stars derived from her connection to Starfire’s Tamaranean powers. Ultimately, it is the combination of all the Titans’ powers that enables Raven to defeat Trigon.
Among the powers Raven channels, it is Tempest’s that delivers the final blow. During the battle, Garth is horrified to discover that Trigon is bleeding, and He had Raven use his ability to control the currents of water to affect the demon’s blood, stopping his heart. This is by far the darkest use of Tempest’s powers that fans have ever seen, and showcases the Atlantean’s abilities, especially when enhanced by Raven. With Trigon effectively suffering a heart attack, Raven seizes the moment to plunge her ax through her father’s chest. With Trigon defeated, she releases the Titans from their Gemstones as they watch the demon “Fade away.”

Is this new titan-combining ability here to stay?
The Titans’ transformation into one final form evokes the Power Rangers’ ability to unite and form the giant robot known as the Megazord. The Power Rangers can seamlessly combine and disassemble at will, and the question is whether the Titans will use the new team combining ability in future storylines, as their approach seems remarkably similar to how the Megazord works.
