The Penguin made Oz more dangerous for Batman, I just hope the sequel makes him the main villain

Notice! This post contains SPOILERS for The penguin episode 8Oz Cobb became a full-fledged DC villain in The penguinwhich made him an ideal antagonist for the Dark Knight in Batman – Part II. Matt Reeves’ Batman introduced Colin Farrell’s Oswald Cobb as the owner of the Iceberg Lounge club, known on the streets of Gotham as a dangerous drug dealer with ties to the Falcone family. Batman didn’t break a sweat when he captured Oz to get information about the Riddler, humiliating the Penguin by crashing his car and leaving him with his arms and legs tied.

Since then, Oz witnessed the death of his boss Carmine Falcone, squandered his chance to directly succeed Carmine by killing his son Alberto, and betrayed Sofia Falcone and the entire Maroni family. Oz’s inability to maintain his loyalty caused him to lose his drug business. However, for The penguin conclusion of the finale, Oz Cobb has certainly become a much more cruel criminal than when he met Batman. Among other settings for Batman – Part II, Oz’s dark character arc suggests he could be a major threat to the Dark Knight soon.

Francis Cobb’s fate makes the penguin more dangerous

Oz Cobb lost the last bit of empathy that kept him from being a villain

The penguinFlashbacks to Oz Cobb’s childhood reveal how much he enjoyed the murder. Oz developed an obsession with his mother, which led him to kill his own brothers to be the only person who could take care of Francis. Despite her attempts to protect Francisco from Sofia and Sal Maroni, Francisco suffered a stroke that left her in a vegetative state. Oz said Francisco “kept it well.” Without his mother, Oz has no one else in his life who can contain him.. What’s worse, Oz’s protégé Victor Aguilar could have helped him deal with the tragedy, but Oz murdered Victor with his own hands.

After The penguin In the end, there is no one who can stop Oz from giving in to his darkest impulses

Oz knew that Francis’ health was deteriorating rapidly due to dementia with Lewy bodies, but he refused to accept the worst-case scenario. Oz made a promise to his mother in The penguin episode 6, vowing that he would help her die in peace if she suffered any health crisis. Once Francis suffered his stroke, Oz took her to his new home and left her by his side, unable to communicate or move. Oz’s broken promise proves that he doesn’t even care about his mother’s wishes. After The penguin finale, there is no one stopping Oz from giving in to his darkest impulses.

In The penguin episode 8, Oz devises the perfect plan to stop Giant Sofia after several failed attempts to defeat her by force. Instead of killing her, Oz arranges for Sofia to be arrested with the help of Councilman Hady, who had previously helped Oz when the Penguin bullied him into restoring Crown Point’s electricity. Naturally, Oz realized the enormous potential hidden in his political connections, which could become his greatest weapon after losing his influence over Gotham’s criminal families and gangs.. Hady may just be the beginning of Oz’s adventure in politics.

After the events of The penguinOz Cobb could continue to pull the strings of Gotham’s criminal underworld from the shadows through his political connections or expand his influence directly by directly joining Gotham’s political scene. Because Gotham is utterly corrupt, it could be easy for Oz to manipulate the law in his favor. Oz could get his enemies arrested or drag their names through the mud, hide his crimes from authorities, and facilitate the success of his illicit businesses without legal repercussions.

It’s settled, the penguin deserves to be highlighted as the villain of Batman Part 2

Colin Farrell’s Oz Cobb has come a long way since his humiliating defeat at the hands of Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight in Batman. Oz may no longer care about ruining anyone’s life, as he doesn’t have any loved ones that his enemies can threaten. Oz also learned from the dirty tricks of Sal Maroni and Sofia Gigante, and his political connections could help him manipulate Batman. If Batman represents an obstacle to the Penguin’s goals in Batman – Part IIOz could turn Gotham’s politicians against vigilantes.

Oz also became one of the most popular characters in Matt Reeves’ series. Batman franchise thanks to The penguinit is of high quality. The penguin successfully followed a charismatic and evil main character for eight episodes without redeeming him. Despite Oz’s evil deeds, audiences became attached to the villain and his story. Still, Oz’s actions in The penguin ask for due return and a second meeting with a Dark Knight more experienced in Batman – Part II could deliver exactly what most viewers are hoping for.
