Although Batman does not explicitly acknowledge the Waynes’ murders, it is his personal trauma that leads him to fight the same type of criminal who murdered Thomas and Martha Wayne. From the point of view of your enemies, “revenge” means inevitable punishment for your crimes. BatmanThe opening sequence perfectly captures this meaning, with several criminals visibly terrified at the idea of Batman lurking in the shadows, waiting to punish them for the crimes they are committing.

After being betrayed for the second time by Oz in The penguin episode 4, Sofia Falcone decides to end her pre-Arkham life and start over. Sofia Falcone abandons her Carrasco infamy by replacing her original surname with “Gigante”, killing all of the Falcones and Johnny Viti and heralding the beginning of her empire. Like Giant, Sofia’s main goal is to get revenge on the people who wronged her, and she isn’t afraid to admit that she only seeks revenge. After killing his family, Oz was next.

Sofia Gigante beats Victor Aguilar and kidnaps Oz’s mother, Frances, between The penguin end of episode 6 and The penguin episode 7. Sofia also gains the upper hand by luring the Penguin into a trap in his own headquarters, launching a bomb that blows up an entire neighborhood. Once Sofia discovers that Gia understands what really happened to her relatives, Sofia’s stoic, revenge-seeking facade shatters and she cries in the hallway. Sofia realizes that her quest for revenge has made her a reflection of her family, but unlike Batman, she quickly resumes her plans and deals a near-fatal blow to Oz.
