90 Day Fiance: The Other Side alum James Solis suspiciously launched a music career after appearing in Season 6, pointing to the idea that he had a plan. Tiago appeared in 90 Day Fiance: The Other Side Season 6 alongside his wife, Meitalia "Tatha" Tatric Solis. Tatha is from Indonesia and she and James met online before he went to Indonesia to meet her in person. When they debuted in The Other Waythe couple had already been married for five years and lived in Maine, James' homeland.
James worked for his family's elevator company while Tatha made jewelry. Tatha had a swallowing problem in her throat and felt that American medicine wasn't working for her, so she and James moved to Indonesia with plans to help her family make banana chips and solve Tatha's medical problems. They left their dog behind and more than $700 a month to pay for their car. James ended up leaving Indonesia without Tatha, after being unable to support her financially there. Now, it appears that James used the show to gain notoriety and launch a music career.

Were they being authentic in some ways?
Tatha became famous in 90 Day Fiance: The Other Side Season 6 for how often she cried and had epic meltdowns. She cried over disappointing her parents, her relationship with James, the thought of returning to America, her abandoned dog, and more (via Access Hollywood.) When Tatha had these meltdowns, James would remain stunned and quiet and try to comfort her as best he could.
Now that James appears to be a clout chaser since launching a music career, it raises the question of whether they amped up their drama to get more screen time. James and Tatha seemed more at ease in their life in Maine, but once they started filming and arrived in Indonesia, the waterworks and drama came. It is possible that Tatha is like this, as she stated, but it's also possible they upped the entertainment for more relevance.

As soon as The Other Way season 6 has finished airing, James launched his music career on Instagram. James performs under the stage name MT Sounds.
He shared a clip from a music video he made for his song "Calling ME" on November 29, 2024.
Although James appears to have a good voice and the music video is quality, it is suspected that he debuted his song shortly after his 90 Day Fiance appearance. He received a lot of support from his colleagues 90DF alumni such as Sarper Güven, Corona Blakey and Kyle Gordy, and from fans.
The timing of his musical downfall seems intrinsically coordinated with the end of his time on the show. This could have to do with an NDA he signed, which possibly included not launching any entertainment career, or Could just be him capitalizing on his 90 Day Fiance stardom. He did not publicize his musical talent before the show, nor did he mention it on the program, which guides the narrative that his debut was calculated.

Is it possible James and Tatha still have a very complicated relationship.
During The Other Way Season 6 Tell All, James and Tatha expressed their struggles over Tatha's jealousy, their friction over Tatha wanting James to sponsor his rude sister's visa to come to America, where they would live and how they would support themselves. All of these burning questions pave the way for them to appear in the franchise again, perhaps in another season of The Other Way or in Happily ever after?
James promoting his music now seems like a well-planned move to coincide with his departure from the show. If James and Tatha continue to appear on 90 Day Fiance franchise, is it possible James' new music career could be part of his story as he tries to find new ways to support Tatha. Either way, James could be another 90 Day Fiance influence hunter who entered the franchise with ulterior motives to promote his music.
