    With the latest update from Dapper Delights Disney Dreamlight ValleyThe third and last act of the A Rift in Time DLC Has arrived, and with it, a unique and complex search, the now and then search. After returning to where you left off in the DLC storyline, you’ll eventually find yourself on a black-and-white island reminiscent of the past.

    Landing on this retro island is what will officially start the beginning of the Now and Then quest. Your first task is simply to explore the island, so while you do that, keep an eye on Mickey and talk to him to find out a little about what’s going on. While he’s slipping in and out of his classic Steamboat Willie appearance, he’ll give you the first steps to getting off the island.

    Where to find all black and white island items

    The Lantern, Hot Dog Cart and Gaston’s Ship

    Mickey will ask you to look around for some stuff on the island that can help you stop Jafar from taking over Eternity Oil. The first item you’ll need to grab is the projector, which can be found near Mickey. Once you have it, bring it back to him, and he’ll help you use it to create a rift that leads back to Jafar’s throne room. Unfortunately, the gap is not reachable, so you will need to find some other things on the island to help you get to it.

    At this point, you will need to find three islands that you can use to build something. The three items include the lantern, hot dog cart, and Gaston’s ship, which is retrieved from a chest using the chest key. Although the island is small, some of the items can be tricky to find and easy to miss, especially since everything is in black and white.

    Gaston’s Ship (Chest Key and Chest)

    The first item needed to get Gaston’s ship, the Chest Key, can be found by fishing on Black and White Island. The fishing spot is directly left of where the return/spawn point on the island is. Use your fishing rod to retrieve the key. Once you have the key, head back to where the ramp leads up to Mickey. Instead of going up, look to the right of the base of the ramp, and you should notice a large hole in the cliff that’s a bit hard to see as it’s blocked by a large breakable rock.. Break the rock, and you’ll find a chest with Gaston’s ship.

    Lantern

    On the right side of the return/spawn point on the island, opposite where you fish for the chest key, you should see a large rock with a lantern stuck at the bottom of it with Pascal on it. Use your pickaxe to break the rock and collect the lantern.

    Hot dog cart

    The next item, the Hot Dog Cart, can be found at the top, where Mickey is. On the opposite side of where the projector is, there will be a large breakable rock. Break it, and you’ll see a handle sticking out of the ground. Use your shovel to dig out the handle to retrieve the hot dog cart.

    Once you have all three necessary items, return them to Mickey. A small scene will begin in which a makeshift flying boat will be constructed, and you will be able to fly up to the gap and escape black and white island. You’ll land in Jafar’s Throne Room, where you’ll be prompted to start talking to him. This conversation may start to feel a little familiar because Jafar will be baked to be a genie, lamp and all, much like what occurs at the end of Aladdin.

    After Jafar ends up trapped in his genie lamp, talk to Mickey, who will congratulate you on your genius. However, Mickey is still glitching in Steamboat Willie, but he thinks he knows a way to fix it. Finally, grab the Lamp of Ifar and the Spark of Imagination, and go talk to Merlin near the exit of the palace. After some discussion, it was decided that locking the Spark off was too risky, so the better alternative was to share it with everyone.

    Meet everyone outside the palace for a charming cutscene in which Mickey will finally return to normal. This will officially mark the end of the A Rift In Time DLCBut if the ending teaser is anything to go by, Disney Dreamlight Valley Has much more in store for its players in the future. Don’t forget, you should also be able to start the Lesser Evil quest now, after picking up a strange 2D item on Eternal Isle, which will unlock Jafar as a villager.
