Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Superman & Lois season 4, episode 9.Superman and Lois season 4 only has one more episode left before Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel flies off into the sunset, and Clark Kent has a big task ahead of him to get a happy ending. DC’s live-action show is having a fantastic final season. I was initially scared of how Superman and Lois Season 4 only had 10 episodes to conclude the story of the Kent family. However, the DC series managed to deliver a lot of emotions, plot twists and exciting moments with each new episode.
This was repeated once again in the show’s last entry. Episode 9 featured the return of major characters, including villains Bruno Mannheim – who I was surprised to see return as Superman and Lois Season 4’s cast limited the use of main characters – and Judgment Day. The latter played one of the biggest roles in the show’s final season and Doomsday’s return in Superman and Lois The end of season 4, episode 9, serves as the perfect setup for the series finale. The character’s return led to one of the Superman and Lois‘most painful moments, and I’m Afraid of Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman.
The final moment of Superman & Lois season 4, episode 9 is heartbreaking
Judgment Day leaves Superman’s life in disarray again
Superman and Lois Season 4 was as epic as I would have expected from the final chapter in the Kent family story. There was a lot of heartbreak as Lex Luthor tried to get revenge on Lois and Clark for imprisoning him for 17 years. However, Judgment Day killing Superman in the season premiere is hard to top. Good, Superman and Lois Season 4, Episode 9 ended with an important moment that brought me back to the same state of shock I was in when Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman died.
The DC series not only brought back Judgment Day, but Superman and LoisIn the last episode, Lex Luthor once again unleashed the monster. Doomsday begins destroying everything in Smallville, with Superman trying to stop him. However, that effort proves futile, at least in terms of where the latest episode of Superman and Lois stopped. An injured Superman struggles to get up off the ground after sustaining injuries in the fight against Doomsday. Clark manages to briefly tell Lois and her children that he loves them before Judgment Day pulls him to heaven. My heart broke for the Kents again.
Superman’s chances against Doomsday seem very slim
The man of steel is no longer who he was
Superman and Lois The last few episodes of season 4 revealed that General Sam Lane’s heart is not compatible with Superman’s body. As such, Clark is losing his powers and dying faster than he should. Because of this revelation, the Man of Steel is nowhere near powerful enough to face Doomsday. I always knew the DC series wouldn’t just sideline the monster, but now that he’s back, I can’t see a way for Clark to beat Doomsday. After all, Superman was killed by the beast when he was still at full strength.

A weakened Superman even began Superman and Lois season 4, episode 9, worried that he wouldn’t be strong enough to fight Lex Luthor in the Steel suit. What chance would he have in a fight with Doomsday? I’m afraid we’re heading towards a potential Man of Steel sacrifice, with Clark finding a way to kill Doomsday but having to die to do it. With Steel and Starlight out of commission and Jordan and Jonathan not having enough experience to fight Doomsday, I can’t see how Superman could defeat the monster and survive.
Superman & Lois Season 4 Episode 10 Trailer Teases the Man of Steel Who Manages the Impossible
Lex Luthor is the series’ definitive villain
While I can’t see a way for Clark Kent to defeat Doomsday, perhaps the DC series has a trick or two up its sleeve. Node Superman and Lois trailer for the series finale, Superman can be seen devoting all of his attention to Michael Cudlitz’s Lex Luthor. Judgment Day doesn’t appear anywhere in the footage, which is curious. It looks like Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman somehow finds a way to kill Doomsday for good or at least neutralize the villain. As such, Superman’s full focus could be on finally defeating his enemy, Lex Luthor.
In addition to finding what seems impossible at the moment – a way to defeat Doomsday – Superman could also end up on the monster’s side. Lois Lane had already caught up with Bizarro, who is still somewhere in Doomsday. Although she couldn’t do it again in Superman and Lois Season 4 Episode 9 If the Kents found a way to connect with Bizarro and get him on their side, Judgment Day Could Help SupermanJordan and Jonathan defeat Lex Luthor. At the very least, Judgment Day could stand aside and let Superman and Lois end with Clark and Lex fighting.
Superman and Loisthe Arrowverse’s seventh spinoff series, will take the titular characters from Metropolis to Smallville. The CW series is set after the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover, which saw the collapse of the multiverse and the merging of worlds on what is now Earth Prime. Superman and Lois sees Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) dealing with all the pressures of their jobs, as well as being parents to two teenage children. Lois and Clark are no strangers to the Arrowverse, with Hoechlin’s Superman having been introduced way back when. Supergirl season 2. Meanwhile, Tulloch’s Lois made her debut in 2018’s “Elseworlds” crossover. The pair are joined by a growing cast of characters that includes a new iteration of Lana Lang.
