The most underrated Terminator sequel was a better follow-up to Judgment Day than the Arnold Schwarzenegger films

James Cameron only did the first two Terminator films before stepping away, and although they spawned more sequels that allowed Arnold Schwarzenegger to return, a lesser-known project without the iconic actor is better than them all. THE Terminator films have been quite divisive since the franchise’s initial writer/director left after Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Aspects of the canon such as TerminatorThe rules of time travel have been reworked and rewritten countless times, resulting in almost everything post-Judgment Day approaching the description of a meaningless mess. However, a brilliant 2008 sequel exists outside of the film series.

Until Netflix adds Terminator Zero to the main canon in 2024, fans of the franchise have been patiently waiting for a story that lives up to Cameron’s brilliance Terminator films. Fortunately, the anime is finally delivering the long-awaited goods and meeting the need for a rewarding experience. Terminator project. However, Zero isn’t technically a sequel, as it’s taking place in 1997 alongside established events in cinema – namely the launch of Skynet. Then, TerminatorThe other TV show from 16 years ago keeps its unique title like the best Judgment Day sequence.

The Judgment Day Sequel Was Canceled Too Soon

Some people may not even know this exists, but The Sarah Connor Chronicles lasted two seasons between 2008 and 2009. Unfortunately, the show ended after just 31 episodes. It was highly praised by those who watched it, but ultimately didn’t attract enough viewers to continue viably. It worked as a sequence of Judgment Dayignoring the events of 2003 Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Likewise, subsequent film sequels didn’t acknowledge what happened in the series.

Frustratingly, The Sarah Connor Chronicles the season two finale will likely never be resolved. While the show didn’t have the same standard of special effects and other perks as the franchise’s high-budget feature films, it was incredibly underrated and came to an end that was not only incomplete, but also came much sooner than it should have. Of course, It was done a long time later Judgment Day that all the characters had to be reformulated, but the decision-making in this regard was also excellent.

Rise of the Machines was the beginning of a bad series of Terminator films

The Sarah Connor Chronicles was designed as a replacement for Rise of the Machinesand it is far superior to the film in almost every way. The show doesn’t change anything Judgment Dayending, but instead tries to continue the same story. Rise of the Machinethe huge retcon at the end of the second film just didn’t work – nor the story of the other three films that followed. Briefly, The Sarah Connor Chronicles may now be a battered footnote in the history of Terminator franchise, but that doesn’t stop it from being excellent.
