Several young heroes have been introduced to the MCU in recent years, setting the stage for the debut of the exciting Avengers replacement team, and the recent launch of Marvel Television Agatha all the time the series delivered the latest hint about the team's long-awaited lineup.

After William Kaplan died in a car accident on the day Scarlet Witch crashed the Hex outside Westview, New Jersey, Billy Maximoff's disembodied soul moved there.. Three years later, hidden behind a magical sigil, Billy Maximoff joined Agatha Harkness and her coven on the Witch's Road, where she realized his true identity.

As a Wiccan, Billy Maximoff's power rivals that of his mother, Wanda Maximoff's Scarlet Witch. He has access to Chaos Magic, just like his mother, is adept at typical witchcraft skills, and can control other people's minds. His similarities to his mother make Wiccan one of the MCU's most formidable new heroes, which means the Young Avengers could be about to get a major upgrade. Wiccan is one of the core members of Marvel Comics' Young Avengerswith Billy Maximoff being revealed to be reincarnated as Billy Kaplan in 2005 Young Avengers #1.

Wiccan was a founding member of Marvel Comics' Young Avengers, brought together by Vision and Iron Lad.an uncorrupted variant of Kang the Conqueror. With the Young Avengers, Wiccan met his reincarnated brother, Tommy Shepherd's Speed, and reunited with his mother, Scarlet Witch, who could be explored in the live-action MCU. Most notably, the first hero to be teased by the Young Avengers, Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, faced off against the Kree villain Dar-Benn and has access to Quantum Bands, making her an extremely powerful character in the MCU.

Since 2019 Avengers: Endgame saw the Avengers unite in battle against Thanos and his armies, the Avengers team is inactive in the MCU. This was confirmed in the trailers for the upcoming 2025 film Captain America: Brave New Worldas President Ross will urge Sam Wilson's Captain America to rebuild the Avengers in the Phase 5 film. The absence of the Avengers has left a huge void in the MCU, and while the team is prepared to renovate Avengers: Judgment Day and Secret Wars in Phase 6, new teams will also be able to debut to replace them.
