The MCU Finally Did Something With White Vision, 3 Years After His Disappearance

Notice! This post contains SPOILERS for What If…? Season 3, Episode 5The MCU finally brought back White Vision after his introduction in WandaVisionwith a brief role as a villain in And if…? season 3, episode 5. Despite being one of the most powerful Avengers in the entire Infinity Saga, Vision spent very little time fighting in the MCU. Vision defeated Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultronparticipated in Team Iron Man's battle against Team Captain America in Captain America: Civil Warand was severely incapacitated by Corvus Glaive in Avengers: Infinity War before dying at the hands of Thanos at the end of the same film.

Unfortunately for several characters in the MCU, the Multiverse Saga has not continued their stories for a long time after their last appearance. Shang-Chi, Moon Knight, America Chavez, and Vision are just a few of the heroes whose futures have been ambiguous for some time. However, the upcoming MCU Vision Mission the series promises to bring back Vision, or at least a new version of the synthezoid, as well as one of his creators and perhaps a few more surprise cameos.

White Vision debuted at the end of WandaVision

A new vision appeared after the death of the original Synthezoid

After Vision's death in Avengers: Infinity WarWanda Maximoff created a fake reality and a fake version of her family, starting with Vision. Meanwhile, SWORD recovered Vision's body and rebuilt him as an emotionless white synthezoid. When Vision's body met Vision's consciousness, The Vision's consciousness tapped into the deepest neural connections of his old body, seemingly transferring his memories and personalities into this new White Vision.. At the end of his philosophical battle in WandaVision In the end, White Vision flew away from Westview and Wanda's Vision construct disintegrated.

The creation of White Vision is quite similar in the comics, except that it is Project Vigilância that rebuilds Vision's body, not SWORD. Wanda Maximoff also tries to live with White Vision as a couple, but White Vision simply does not have the ability to feel emotions and the two separate. This won't be the case in the MCU, as Scarlet Witch apparently died for good in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessshortly after she deactivated her Westview hex.

What if Season 3 reveals the return of White Vision, with a twist

White Vision Becomes Iron-Hearted Armor in a Post-Apocalyptic Alternate Future

Before White Vision returns Vision Mission, And if…? Season 3 Episode 5 brings him back to the role of a secondary antagonist. In an alternate timeline where the Eternals failed to stop the Tiamut Emergence event, Mysterio gathered Iron Man's technology and decided to be a cosmic dictator. Mysterio somehow took control of White Vision and employed him as his main enforcerhunting down the last survivors of Earth's cataclysmic event. The only way to slow White Vision down is with a powerful spell from Wong, and even then, the sorcerer can only restrain White Vision for a few seconds.

Fortunately for the survivors, Riri Williams builds a weapon capable of neutralizing White Vision in record time, and uses it just in time to save herself from the villain's attack. Riri then goes out using White Vision's body as Ironheart armor and defeats Mysterio. Although her experiment is rushed and therefore imperfect, Riri Williams' White Vision armor may be one of the most powerful in the MCU, as it is virtually unbreakable and incredibly fast, and fires energy beams like the original Vision.

White Vision will be back soon for real

White Vision will star in his own series in Phase 5 or Phase 6

White Vision will star in his own MCU Disney+ show in Phase 6 or Phase 7. In Vision MissionWhite Vision will likely come face to face with Ultron, who is confirmed to return after more than a decade of absence. And since Agatha all the time saw Billy Maximoff gain his Wiccan powers and resurrect Tommy Maximoff in a new body, it is possible that Vision Mission will feature one or both of Wanda and Vision's children, who will be able to reunite with their father and regain their memories together.

The plot of the MCU Vision Mission series is still a mystery

Given that WandaVision has already adapted a large part of Marvel Comics Vision Mission plot, the plot of the MCU Vision Mission series is still a mystery. In the comics, a white Anti-Vision impersonates Vision for a short time, but White Vision begins to regain his emotions and discovers the impostor. Vision then malfunctions and dies, but his memories are recovered and implanted into Iron Lad's armor. Shortly after, the armor takes on a life of its own and becomes a younger version of Vision with its own identity and personality. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but these events may be adapted to some extent in Vision Mission and the MCU Young Avengers project.
