In the Eldin Volcano area of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of WisdomA dragon boss awaits inside a dungeon. In this area there is more than Goron City. It’s also where Zelda finds a firebreathing dragon, Known as Volvagia. This dungeon boss should be familiar to longtime franchise fans. Volvagia makes their return to the series as a tough opponent.
Getting to Eldin Temple requires going to a waypoint hidden behind lava barriers. Travel through a gap in Eldin Volcano to reach Styled Eldin Vulcan. Inside this area, travel to the top platforms using steam vents to reach higher ledges. Work your way to the right of Stilled Eldin Volcano to find the entrance to Eldin Temple. Clear the dungeon to reach Volvagia’s lair.
Defeat Volvagia in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Dodge fireballs and smash the dragon’s green orb
Enter the arena, notice the green orb around the dragon’s neck. This is both a weapon and a Weakness for the boss. To turn the green orb against Volvagia, Zelda has to dodge projectile attacks, like large orbs and fireballs, and move close enough to bind the object with Tree. Keep binding for an extended period of time without taking damage to deal a massive blow to Volvagia. Once the green orb shatters, Volvagia staggers into a dizzy state. Get close with the boss to deal free damage to the dragon with melee echoes.

When Volvagia dives into the lava and becomes unreachable, Use projectile echoes to deal damage. It is possible to add water blocks to reach the boss, but this would use up precious time that is better spent launching attacks from these Distance and safety of platforms. Arrows work well (if you’ve defeated Shadow Link and claimed his bow), or you can combine attacks by entering swordfighter form and casting echoes like Spear Moblin. The Sword Moblin Echo Also works well during periods where volvagia is staggered.
As most boss fights in Echoes of wisdomIt’s important to pick up the enemy patterns. In the case of Volvagia, There are no additional phases in this fight. What you see is what you get. The action pattern of dodging and extracting the green orb repeats until Volvagia is defeated (the green orb regenerates after each stagger period).
The same Steam vents Used to reach the dungeon will be found in the arena. Use them to quickly jump between platforms and reach Volvagia’s position.
However, in a couple of key ways, The action offers varying obstacles. For one, Volvagia being in the lava has already been mentioned. However, there is also a lava platform on the bottom left side of the arena. Zelda takes damage on this platform. So, simply launch echoes from a distance once more.

Now that Eldin Temple is clear, return to Goron City
Defeating Volvagia rewards Zelda and Tree with substantial upgrades, including a Full heart container. Back in Goron City, the townspeople thank Zelda for defeating Volvagia. But the work is not done. There is more to do in Goron City and Around Eldin Volcano. With new encounters, side quests and unlocked paths, search the area to claim rupees, treasure chests and accessories.

Travel through new rifts to the different regions of Hyrule. Face imposters and find dungeons.
