Aquaman uses Black Mercy to take out Bizarro
The panel with Nightwing front and center, flanked by several other heroes brandishing their newly commandeered weapons, is like a muse. It’s undeniably cool to see Starfire armed with a massive gun as long as her leg, but it’s also a humorous twist. for example, Cassandra “Black Bat” Kane, who has never had powers and is a staunch adherent to Batman’s ‘no guns’ rule, is shown with a gun. The unexpected sight of Cain armed with a gun is both surprising and oddly entertaining.
In addition to the heroes gathered behind Nightwing, Yara Flor and Aquaman are seen putting their newly acquired weapons to effective use. The two heroes board a battleship to rescue an asset named John Starr. Their mission leads them into a confrontation with Bizarro, who Yara temporarily holds off using her newly acquired weather wand. Meanwhile, Aquaman rummages through his bag of weapons, looking for a more permanent solution. He ultimately chooses the Black Mercy, using the mind-control plant to neutralize Bizarro. Hence, the latest weapon upgrades have proven successful in the fight against Waller’s forces.
