Carnage emerges as a proto-king in Crimson

In all but name, Carnage is a god. From herald of Chthon to herald of Knull, Carnage used every twisted act of pain, pleasure, and chaos to rise to power. He traversed the multiverse, consuming codices of symbiotes that possessed unique strengths and resistances. Through his journey of carnal cannibalism, Carnage

developed an immunity to fire
sonic sound and anti-symbiont chemicals. He crawled through time and space to breach the Garden of Time, the temporal refuge of Meridius and the seat of power of the Kings in Black.

With a violent swiftness that Eddie Brock could never have achieved, Carnage toppled Meridius and the Garden of Time. However, despite his achievements and proof of dominant power, Carnage was still not considered a true god. The mad symbiote learned that for his species to achieve the divine, they needed each other and that Carnage didn’t have his. But now

Carnage and Cletus are back together
sending shockwaves across the multiverse. At the end of all possibilities, where Eventuality waits for its own birth, the King in Crimson waits for his past to reach his present..

Meridius’ every failure will soon become Carnage’s greatest asset

Carnage will emerge as the true winner of the poison war

Now that the Venom War is coming to an end, Meridius, the last step before Eddie Brock becomes Eventuality, the Anti-Everything, desperately throws everything he has into destroying his past self. But in his short-sighted revenge, he allowed a crimson corruption to infest his ranks. Recognizing that failure is near, Meridius despairs of taking his final stand – Carnage. Put Gifting Meridius All-Blood the Necrospear, Carnage’s symbiotic weapon that reflects Knull’s all-powerful blade, Carnage found his in. Carnage is a cannibal who consumes the powers of those he infects and

Meridius gave him the final key
.

Carnage alone is not destined for Eventuality, but Meridius is. With Meridius soon under the control of the mad symbiote, his destiny becomes that of Carnage. The only thing stopping Meridius from his ultimate evolution is his reluctance to accept it, but Carnage has greater aspirations. As the Venom War reaches its climax, Carnage is the only player ready to take the next step. A being like Knull was small compared to the King in Black’s destiny to become the Anti-All, but the King in Black, Eddie Brock, fell. The eventuality of carnage is on the horizon; the King in Crimson.
