Back to the future part II takes the franchise to 2015, and while the film didn't predict the future with complete accuracy, there was one specific foreshadowing that came eerily close. The first Back to the future the sequel actually got several things right in 2015, despite being released in 1989. However, there's one part of the film's lore that resonated particularly well with viewers, and the prediction was pretty much fulfilled in the real world in 2002.
THE Back to the future The films are widely considered to be one of the best and most consistent trilogies of all time. Led by Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown, the Back to the future cast takes audiences through a thrilling time travel adventure which features almost as much nail-biting danger as it does comedic moments. Despite the emphasis on making the audience laugh, the second film paid a lot of attention especially to the time travel lore.
Max Spielberg directed a film in 2002 – 13 years after Back to the Future predicted it
The legendary director's son ended up making his own film (but it wasn't Jaws 19)
1975 Jaws It is considered one of the best of all Steven Spielberg films. When Back to the future part II was released in 1989, there were three other Jaws films made, although Spielberg stepped away after the first. So, the Back to the future sequence clearly assumed that this level of progress would continue into 2015, as a poster for Jaws 19 can be seen in the film when Marty travels to the future. Within the world of the film, Jaws has become a generational franchise, as it is directed by Max Spielberg – the son of the legendary director.

In 2002, Max took on the director's chair when he made a short film called Snapshot. Obviously he never did Jaws 19as there has been no other addition to the franchise since 1995 Cruel Jawsthat failed. That being said, predicting that Max would follow in his father's footsteps is still impressiveeven if it happened outside the Jaws franchise. Interestingly, Max was just four years old when Back to the future part II was released.
Max Spielberg has since stepped away from the film industry
Steven Spielberg's son switched to another creative industry
Snapshot it wasn't exactly the kind of project that led Max Speilberg to cinematic success. In fact, his industry credits have been very scarce since then. Instead, he has been much more active in the video game industry, serving in a variety of roles from graphic designer to game tester on major franchises like Assassin's Creed and Medal of Honor. His most recent film credit was as executive producer of 2022 Bandit starring Mel Gibson, but he stayed away from the career sparked by Back to the future part II.
