ONE Valley of the Stars fan shed new light on an old post, reminding fans that the cozy, warm farm life might be a little more stressful than they realize. Although the title is known for being a fun and peaceful way to pass the time, it seems that not everything is as it seems, and living Valley of the Stars in real life it could be anything but peaceful.
A recent Reddit post by Puzzled-Ad4256 shows an old tweet that explains why someone “could have a hard time” if they decided to live in Valley of the Stars. The Tweet mentions that the fact that the home fans are introduced at the start is doomed, the town’s residents are constantly asking for help, and the economy is completely dependent on the players’ farming skills. While some may dream of living in a small, bustling city, it appears most agree with the original sentiment of the Tweets.
An economy completely dependent on the farm seems a little scary
Maybe the cozy life isn’t so cozy…
Take on the life of a farmer within the Valley of the Stars universe may look good on paper, but fans realized almost immediately in the Reddit thread that the royal lifestyle can be scary. There are many reasons why teleporting into the title would be off-putting, like a destroyed house on the outskirts of town, but one commenter brings up some other positives.
Bubbly States-Sun_Beam“Also, your house doesn’t have a bathroom or kitchen until you buy it. I don’t know about you, but eating raw vegetables exclusively for at least six months doesn’t sound very appealing.” This is a good point, as basic amenities must be purchased and built, rather than being present the moment fans begin their journey. Basic needs aside, running a farm in itself is not a simple task, as one fan of Valley of the Stars I learned the hard way earlier this year.
Our Take: Farm Life May Not Be What We Thought
Feeding animals, crossing the mine and harvesting crops
While Valley of the Stars passes the time and keeps fans entertained, it wouldn’t be so peaceful and calm in real life. The sheer amount of tasks that need to be completed daily on a farm is enough to put most people off the title coming to life. Having to go through the mine and being attacked by slimes while hoping you’ve brought enough salad to avoid fainting is another entity of its own, which is very apparent from the commentator Fiiiiiiiishas they state:
“What do you mean I have to go mining in the monster pit of hell if I want a better sprinkler? Can’t I just order them on Amazon?”
Little things like this make Valley of the Stars which is, and while I personally would love to own a huge amount of land, ship cranberries, and tend my truffle-breeding pigs, we’re probably better off leaving those things in the game.
