The Heir of Galactus was introduced into the MCU almost 10 years ago (and he’s the last hero you’d expect)

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Negasonic Teenage Warhead #1! Galactus you’re about to do yours UCM debut in the next film Fantastic Four: Getting Startedbut interestingly, his heir has already been presented. In fact, this hero was introduced into the MCU almost 10 years ago, and while one might think that someone who is destined to become Galactus’ heir would be very hard to miss, the hero in question is actually the last one fans would see. . I would probably already wait.

In Teen Negasonic Warhead #1 by Andrew Wheeler, Eleonora Carlini and Carola Borelli, Eloise Phimister, aka Negasonic Teenage Warhead, is fighting to save the entire universe. Ellie has the mutant power of precognition, but she can do much more than just see potential futures, she can choose them. Every future she peers into is one in which she has developed a unique secondary mutation, and if she decides to set her life on a specific path, she will obtain that power.

In this comic, Ellie starts out with reality manipulation as her secondary mutation, but after looking into the future and choosing a different path, Negasonic Teenage Warhead is able to turn off this power by creating portals. While a great display of her admittedly complex power set, this act not only resulted in the creation of a portal for Ellie, but also set the universe on a path to total annihilation. While trying to undo the damage she inadvertently caused, Negasonic Teenage Warhead has to fight a version of herself that survived total universal annihilation: Megasonic Endless Godhead.

Negasonic’s alternate future Teenage Warhead is the heir of Galactus

Negasonic Teenage Warhead made his MCU debut in 2016 Dead Pool

Just as she traded her reality-bending powers for portal-creating ones, Negasonic Teenage Warhead – when faced with the end of the universe – looked to a future where she survived and then chose that path. This resulted in her surviving universal annihilation, folding her into the next universe and claiming the role of that universe’s ‘Galactus’. In every way that matters, the story of Ellie becoming Megasonic Endless Godhead is the same as Galan’s becoming Galactus, cementing her as Galactus’ true (potential) heir.

It’s interesting that someone like Negasonic Teenage Warhead has the potential to be the next universe’s Galactus, especially given how she’s been portrayed in the MCU. While technically not part of the MCU at the time (although it was adopted into the cinematic universe), the 2016 film Dead Pool brought Negasonic Teenage Warhead to the big screen. Even though she was a cool character – and still is – she was far from someone anyone would think could become a cosmic powerhouse like Galactus. But as it turns out, everyone was completely wrong.

Negasonic teenage warhead will have to compete with another ‘Heir of Galactus’: Galacta

Galacta is the daughter of Galactus whose story was told in Galacta: Daughter of Galactus by Adam Warren and Hector Sevilla Luján

Galacta, daughter of Galactus, with Wolverine and Thor behind her.

Although Negasonic Teenage Warhead has proven that she has the potential to become a being identical to Galactus, she will have to compete with another ‘heir of Galactus’: Galacta. Galacta is the daughter of Galactus who currently lives a discreet life on Earth, consuming alien parasites for energy. Her entire story is told in Galacta: Daughter of Galactus, and while it’s an interesting read, the biggest takeaway is simply the existence of Galacta and how she could very well replace Galactus as Marvel’s resident Devourer of Worlds.

Regardless of Galacta’s existence, Marvel Comics has confirmed that – in at least one potential future – Negasonic Teenage Warhead is destined to become the new Galactus, and all she needs to do to become a Eater of Worlds is decide to survive when confronted. with universal annihilation. And the most interesting part? The heir of Galactus has already been introduced into UCMand she’s definitely the last hero fans would expect.
