The first Spider-Man Noir set photos have me convinced it’s the perfect replacement for Sony’s Spider-Man universe

The first set of photos of Spider-Noir were released, and after getting a good look at the upcoming live-action Spider-Man, I’m convinced that the series could serve as the perfect replacement for Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. While Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has been thriving In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the state of the SSU is quite different. I’m a fan of Sony’s Venom films, which are fun and feature exciting action and heartfelt character dynamics between Eddie Brock and Tom Hardy’s Venom. However, Sony’s Venom-less Spider-Man Universe films haven’t been nearly as good.

Morbius and Lady Teia bombed at the box office for good reason. Not only do they focus on characters who aren’t big or interesting enough to lead their own films, but the projects have had numerous problems, from story to CGI to characters and more. Since Venom: The Last Dance ends with a great event that makes it clear that Tom Hardy’s Venom franchise is overthe SSU is in emergency mode. However, with Spider-NoirWith the talented cast and the first look at Nicolas Cage as Marvel’s live-action hero emerging, I think Sony already has the SSU replacement.

Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Man Noir Looks Incredibly Comic-Accurate

The actor reprises his Spider-Verse superhero

With the show currently filming, the first look at Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Man Noir costume has been revealed via set photos and videos. I’m happy to see that the team behind the Prime Video series is making Cage’s superhero costume so faithful to the Spider-Verse comics and films. Just like in both universes, Spider-Man Noir’s live-action costume features some trademark elements for which the character became known, such as the fedora, goggles and overcoat. Spider-Noir will see Cage once again in all black as his version of Spider-Man, but this time in live action.

Node Spider-Noir With photos and videos from the set, a stuntman can be seen in the middle of an action scene like Spider-Man Noir. The Marvel hero is on top of a car during a chase scenewith Spider-Man Noir apparently using his webs to stop the car. Based on the series’ 1930s setting and the cars shown in the sequel, it looks like this version of Spider-Man is dealing with some gangsters. I’m excited about Nicolas Cage’s live-action Spider-Man Noir, with his costume and vintage cars setting the new tone of this world compared to the Spider-Man films.

The Spider-Noir set photos eased my worries

The “Spider-Man” of it all will be treated faithfully

Sony’s Spider-Man universe may be called that, but the franchise never had any version of Spider-Man. The closest the SSU came to Spider-Man was in Lady Teiawhere Emma Roberts’ Mary Parker was pregnant with baby Peter, who is destined to become Spider-Man. Because of this, I have to say that I was worried about how Sony would handle a live-action adaptation of Spider-Man Noir. After all, the series is called Spider-Noirand it has already been confirmed that Cage’s version of the character will not be an alternative Peter Parker as it should be.

While I was initially surprised by the change in Spider-Man Noir’s identity, I still believe the show could work just fine without Cage playing Peter Parker.

I feared that Cage’s hero personality was only loosely based on Spider-Man Noir. However, the first look at the hero in Spider-Noir It clearly shows that Sony intends to make the series as comic-accurate as possible when it comes to the heroic side of Cage’s character and the show’s action. While I was initially surprised by the change in Spider-Man Noir’s identity, I still believe the show could work just fine without Cage playing Peter Parker. In fact, this should allow more creative freedom for the series, without confusion due to cinematic Spider-Men.

Spider-Noir appears to be handling the Spider-Man action of the series, just like in the Spider-Man films. I’ve always wondered if a live-action Spider-Man show could work given the high budget needed to properly bring the hero to life, webs and all. This budgetary issue especially became one of my biggest concerns for the program when a report from Disk stated in August that Spider-Verse franchise and Spider-Noir producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller clashed with Sony over the budget of the Nicolas Cage series. Luckily, the Spider-Noir set video shows Spider-Man’s signature action.

I’m more excited for Spider-Noir to start a new chapter than Sony’s Spider-Man universe

It may be time for the SSU to end

I’m not just happy about it Spider-Noir it seems to be going in the right direction because I like the character, but also because I believe it could be the first project in a new chapter for Sony. Despite being the most successful franchise in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, Venom: The Last Dance had the lowest opening of Tom Hardy’s Venom films. With the Venom franchise over, Lady Teia and Morbius failing to start franchises, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson Kraven the Hunter will likely be impacted by the overall negative state of the SSU, I think it’s time for the SSU to end.

Of course, Venom: The Last Dance teased Marvel Comics big bad Knull for future projects. However, the villain may conflict with the heroes of Sony’s planned Spider-Man TV shows rather than the SSU characters. Spider-Noir is the first of many Spider-Man related shows that Sony hopes to bring to Prime Video. Originally, Silk: Spider-Society was greenlit before the Spider-Man Noir series, but the show was later cancelled. Still, there are plenty of interesting Spider-Man variants that could lead live-action series on Prime Video, and I’m most interested in shows like Spider-Noir than the new Spider-Man villain movies at SSU.

I think Nicolas Cage is the perfect choice for Spider-Man Noir

The actor has Spider-Verse experience and fits the show’s description

Well, there’s one obvious factor that makes Nicolas Cage’s casting as the live-action Spider-Man Noir a good one. The actor brought the character to life Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and I will do it again for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. I’m a big fan of what Cage did with the role in the animated films, with the actor having based his Spider-Man Noir accent on actors from the films of Humphrey Bogart, the biggest name in the history of film noir.

In addition to delivering a great performance as Spider-Man Noir in an animated format, Cage fits perfectly into the direction Spider-Noir he follows. The series will feature its main character as an elderly private investigator in 1930s New Yorkwith Spider-Man Noir facing corruption, moral dilemmas and monsters — as revealed by Cage. I believe the actor has many roles that show he will be capable of giving a convincing performance. Cage, as a grizzled veteran hero who is disillusioned, with the actor flexing his film noir knowledge as the character’s PI side, can make Spider-Noir very exciting.

An elderly, grizzled private investigator in 1930s New York struggles with his dark past as the city’s masked vigilante. Fighting crime in a corrupt city, he faces dangerous enemies and uncovers sinister conspiracies. Your journey through dark alleys and moral ambiguities is filled with action, intrigue, and noir storytelling.
