In addition to the potential box office success, NosferatusThe film’s initial positive reception is a good sign of the film’s awards prowess. It would be Eggers’ first film to have such a privileged release date in terms of awards season. While this already positions it for greater success, horror films have historically struggled to gain even deserved award-winning attention.
