“The eventuality of an anomaly:” The Matrix’s most confusing scene explains how Matrix 5 can happen without Keanu Reeves

One of the most confusing moments ever The Matrix Franchise could be exactly what The Matrix 5 needs to explain why Keanu Reeves might not return as Neo. The Matrix 5 has been confirmed, but the exact details of the story remain a mystery. The franchise could follow the end of The Matrix Resurrections with a prequel, sequel, or a complete reboot. No matter which path it chooses, however, the franchise’s fifth installment will struggle to stay true to the established tradition of The Matrix.

However The Matrix 5 is happening, Keanu Reeves’ involvement has not yet been confirmed. Reeves gave a condition to return to The Matrix 5but there is still no official confirmation that he will reprise the role of Neo, especially considering that Drew Goddard is directing in place of the Wachowski sisters. If Reeves does not return to The Matrix 5however, there is a risk of contradicting The Matrixis established canon, given Neo’s importance as the One. Fortunately, a workaround already exists that would preserve the franchise’s canon and explain why someone other than Keanu Reeves could lead the new film.

Matrix Reloaded’s Architect Scene Revealed Neo Wasn’t First

Keanu Reeves’ Neo lived during the sixth version of The Matrix

During the Architect scene in THE Matrix reloadedWhen Neo was talking to the creator of the Matrix, the Architect (Helmut Bakaitis) revealed that his version of the Matrix was not the first. As he explained, Neo was alive during the sixth iteration of the Matrix, and there were five versions before him, all with their own version of the One.. The Architect explained that the One was an anomaly in the Matrix’s programming caused by human choice, and that machines had been manipulating them for hundreds of years.

As he explained, Neo was alive during the sixth iteration of the Matrix, and there were five versions before him, all with their own version of the One.

Neo even saw earlier versions of One while talking to the Architect. The room in which the conversation took place was filled with TV screens that showed different versions of Neo responding to the Architect’s words differently, some with anger, others with confusion, and so on. While it’s possible that the screens only showed simulations of how Neo might react, it’s also possible that the screens showed how the previous ones reacted to meeting the Architect and using Neo’s face to visually represent them.. The mere existence of earlier versions of the One means that The Matrix 5 you have a golden opportunity.

The Matrix 5 could take place in any of the other previous iterations of the Matrix

The architect scene in The Matrix Reloaded is extremely difficult to understand, both because of the Architect’s vocabulary and because it’s a rather complicated explanation for Neo being the One. As confusing as the Architect’s scenario is, it presents the perfect opportunity to The Matrix 5 to introduce a new one who is not Keanu Reeves’ Neo. The Matrix 5 it could simply be about one of the five previous versions of the One who came before Neo took up the mantle. That would leave The Matrix 5 create a new story with a new protagonist without undermining Neo’s importance.

There is, of course, a chance that The Matrix 5 will simply abandon the established tradition of The Matrix Totally in favor of starting a new story. This would have the added benefit of not limiting the newer film and allowing it to make or break its own canon. Furthermore, starting a new story would give The Matrix 5 higher stakes than a prequel could: none of those who came before Neo succeeded. No matter how The Matrix 5 deals with his story, there’s a good chance he’ll find a way to explain Keanu Reeves’ absence.

Matrix 5 is a possible future release and would be the fifth film in the Matrix franchise. There has been no word from the creators about a fifth film, but many have noted that the recent fourth release left things “open.”
