Includes SPOILERS for The Stormlight Archive through Eras 1 and 2 of Wind and Truth and Mistborn
Wind and Truth the climactic ending had a lot to offer Cosmere fans, and it's especially exciting in regards to the upcoming Born from the mists trilogy. Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere universe is one of the most exciting worlds in modern fantasy, and the further you go, the more references and character crossovers there are that connect the various titles. Wind and Truth end presents the longest scene with Thaidakar, best known for Born from the mists fans like Kelsier, this has been shown for yearsuniting the two stories.
Despite the original Born from the mists With the trilogy being Brandon Sanderson's most read work, there was a significant wait for the next chapter. There was only one Born from the mists book since 2016, which is 2022 The Lost Metaland the next series is still years away. For now, there's plenty of time to speculate about what Sanderson has in store for the next trilogy, titled Mistborn: Ghostblood and is predicted to be in an era with early 1980s computer technology.
Wind And Truth synchronizes the Stormlight archive and the next eras of Mistborn
Mistborn Era 3 should take place at the same time as Stormlight Arc 2
The Cosmere timeline has always been a bit vague, but Wind and Truth the ending solidified some connections between Scadrial and Roshar. The Stormlight Archive happens later Born from the mists era 1, but before era 2. At the end of Wind and Truth, Wit is killed on Roshar and his body regenerates in Ulaam's laboratory on Scadrial. From there, he gets a job as a carriage driver for Waxillium Ladrian. However, the scene between Shallan and Thaidakar is also revealing. Thaidakar claims that Roshar is in a temporal bubble, and a decade passing through Roshar will be 70 to 80 years elsewhere.
Kelsier mentions at the end of the The Lost Metal that Iyatil is still alive and is potentially a threat, but Wind and Truth the ending sees him learn of her death. This means that in Shallan and Thaidakar's scene, Scadrial has already progressed to the end of Born from the mists was 2. It's confusing, but the main conclusion is this: The Stormlight Archive arc 2 should be set 10 years later in Roshar, while Born from the mists era 3 will be approximately 80 years after era 2 in Scadrialmeaning the next chapters of each story will take place simultaneously.
Mistborn Era 3 will continue the Ghostbloods storyline
Kelsier will be more important in Mistborn: Ghostbloods
The Ghostbloods are a Scadrian organization, but were featured more prominently in The Stormlight Archive of what they have in Born from the mists until here. This will undoubtedly change in Sanderson's new trilogy. The main protagonist is planned to be a young Terriswoman, but Kelsier is expected to have a more direct role, which means the series will be more Cosmere-oriented, following Trell's narrative from Born from the mists was 2. It may take a while before THE Storm Archive book 6, but there should be some connections to look forward to in Born from the mists.
