For the first time since the franchise began, Gale is able to have a conversation and talk to Ghostface on the phone. Unfortunately, the fight resulted in Gale being very close to death, leaving her out of commission for the rest of the film. Audiences didn’t get to see Gale in the hospital, but they were given updates that she is alive and in stable condition. This would not have happened if Kirby had not sent Galle home.
