Silent Night, Deadly Night is getting a new remake

ONE new reboot of Silent Night, Deadly Night is on the way. The 1984 horror film follows orphaned teenager Billy Chapman (Robert Brian Wilson), whose traumatic past is unearthed when he is forced to dress up as Santa Claus for a toy store’s Christmas celebration, leading him on a killing spree. on vacation. Although the poster image depicting an axe-wielding Santa Claus descending a chimney generated controversy, causing many concerned protesters to picket theaters to show the film, it generated widespread Silent Night, Deadly Night franchise, which includes four sequels and a 2012 reboot titled Silent night.

Put Deadlinea new reimagining of Silent Night, Deadly Night is in the works at Cineverse, the company behind Terrifying films. The entertainment company acquired global rights with the intention of bringing the project to the American film market with an eye on a late 2025 release. set to be written and directed by Mike P. Nelsonwho previously directed the 2021 horror remake Wrong turn.
Terrifying 3Brandon Hill and Brad Miska are executive producers on the project alongside Yolanda Macias and Erick Opeka. Original Silent Night, Deadly Night producers Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead are also on board along with Jamie R. Thompson.
