The best Marowak EX deck to use

While Marowak EX might not seem like the strongest option for a battle deck in Pokémon TCG PocketThere are several reasons why it might be worth building one. In addition to being a unique option, as the most common deck options are MewTwo Ex, Pikachu EX and Starmie EX, a fighting deck is an excellent counter to Pikachu EX.

Not only is it a great counter to one of the most common decks, but it’s also one of the only real options. The Mewtwo deck is mainly weak to dark and has no EX card in Pokémon TCG Pocketmaking it a risky option to build a deck around it. Meanwhile, the Starmie EX deck is mostly weak to Electric/Lightning damage, but that just leads back to using Pikachu EX.

Best cards for a Marowak EX deck in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Use Marowak EX to defeat some of the strongest decks in the game

Marowak EX is, unfortunately, based largely on coin flipswhich may be a hindrance for some players. Simply put, you can destroy another deck with just a few moves or find yourself in a terrible position. However, Despite the luck involved, the Marowak EX deck is still worth the risk. If the coin toss goes your way, you’ll be able to eliminate most decks before they even have a chance to set up, making it worth the handful of bad games you might experience in return.

When it comes to building the deck itself, you’ll need to start with the star of the deck, Marowak EX. Ideally, you want to have two EX cards in any deck before using it into battleSo you’ll want to extract two Marowak EX from the MewTwo Genetic Apex Booster Packs or purchase them using your pack points. There are two versions of the Marowak EX in Pokémon TCG Pocketone being rarer than the other, but the only difference is the art, so either option works.

If you are missing letters, See if you can complete some Solo Battle missions or your daily challenges to earn more Hourglassesor at least, buy tickets to buy more Pokémon TCG Pocket Hourglasses. There is no need to spend money to build this deck.

Outside of Marowak EX, you’ll want to focus the deck on other fighting types with a handful of Item and Supporter cards mixed in as well. You have a few options for this based on preference. Along with your Marowak EX, you can opt for a Diglett & Dugtrio addition or a Kabuto & Kabutops addition. Both are strong candidates, and honestly, I recommend you make your decision based on the cards you hold. If you have both, try both versions and see what you like best.

Option 1: Diglett & Dugtrio

This is the most common Marowak EX deck you’ll see people using, mainly because despite its seemingly weak appearance, Dugtrio has a chance to completely negate damage done to it. Additionally, if you manage to defeat an opponent using Dugtrio, you don’t run the risk of your opponent gaining two points for eliminating your EX Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

While this is a great deck if it works in your favor, it adds even more coin toss risk to a deck that already relies heavily on it. So it will be up to you to decide whether you think the potential reward is worth the risk or whether you prefer a more reliable option like Kabuto and Kabutops.

Option 2: Kabuto and Kabutops

This second option is a little less powerful, but does not carry the same risk as the Diglett & Dugtrio option. This means that although you will need to strategize a little more with this option, you are more likely to get more wins overall if you learn how to use it correctly.

For this variant of the Marowak EX deck, You’ll almost certainly start with Cubone as it will be the only Basic Pokémon in your deck. From there, you can evolve into a Marowak, which requires a single energy to start dealing damage, or Marowak EX, if possible, to deal even more damage. Using Dome Fossil prevents other basic Pokémon from getting in your way, with the added benefit of leading you to Kabutops, which packs a strong punch, has solid HP, and has the ability to heal itself.

Regardless of which variant of the ex Marowak deck you choose, you will be more than prepared to take on the meta decks, especially ex Pikachu. Also, Don’t be afraid to experiment with customizing a fighting deck around the former Marowakespecially since you can always test it in Solo Battles until you feel how it works. Oftentimes, decks that knock opponents Pokémon TCG Pocket battles are the unique decks they didn’t expect.
