The official website of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Confirmed that Season 2 is in the worksand revealed a teaser trailer to accompany the announcement. However, the only confirmed information was that Studio Madhouse would be in charge of the anime again. The new big fantasy is coming back soon
Anime produced by Studio Madhouse
Interestingly, season 2 was announced shortly after the manga’s return from an indefinite hiatus, which would have disrupted the anime as there would be no source material to draw upon. The first season of the anime ends in chapter 60, concluding the first class mage exam arc, and the second season will continue the adventures of the trio as they go to Aerule.
The anime will most likely also adapt the Divine Revolt arc, where Frieren, Fern and Stark receive a request to take down a demon that is terrorizing a village. Now that the group is in the demon-infested area, the series will see even more action and blood, and season 2 of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Will be a great continuation of the fantasy adventure that has conquered the hearts of anime fans worldwide.
Propelling the manga to be one of the best-selling manga of 2024 so far, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has solidified itself as one of the decade’s best fantasy series, and the fact that the best is yet to come makes the future of the franchise that much brighter. With a powerhouse studio at the helm and incredible source material, season 2 has the potential to exceed the prequel’s high standard.
