Penguin perfectly summed up what makes Gotham City what it is in just four words. Show directed by Colin Farrell first spin-off from director Matt Reeves Batman. The HBO series has been positively received by fans and critics, and Farrell has given an even better performance as Oz Cobb now that he has more time to explore what makes the character tick. PenguinThe cast includes a variety of three-dimensional characters whose complexity is explored with each new episode of the DC series.
After Carmine Falcone was killed by the Riddler in BatmanThere is a power vacuum in Gotham City. Farrell's Penguin attempts to fill that void with a series that chronicles his journey to becoming the new head of Gotham's organized crime. Like Batman, DC series uses Gotham as its own characterThe dark and dirty streets of the city create a gritty atmosphere that fits well with the developing battle for power in Gotham's underworld. Penguin offers the perfect explanation for what's at the center of Gotham City.
Gotham has always had class problems
Every DC Comics location adaptation makes this clear
Gotham is not a city where all its inhabitants live in more or less the same conditions. This is one of the places in DC Comics where the class issue becomes extremely apparent. In crime-ridden Gotham City, many live in fear and poverty, which can be said about all the game adaptations of the iconic place. Gotham has always had a class problem. some people like that the Waynes are extremely richwhile the majority of Gotham's citizens struggle to make ends meet, which in turn results in crime always being present as the less fortunate have few ways to make a difference.

Four words are all it takes to explain Gotham's problem
Like Batman, HBO Penguin presents perhaps the best live-action depiction of Gotham City.. The series explores the inner workings of Gotham, showing how class issues impact the lives of those less fortunate. Penguin The third episode perfectly describes why Gotham City can never escape its class problem, and Oz Cobb perfectly describes the city. Speaking to young Victor Aguilar, Oz says: "America is a bustle", which he uses to convince Vic that he must fully take back what is rightfully his, like all citizens of Gotham.
Oz's speech simply gives characters like Vic the "right" to step over others on their way to the top and break whatever rules they have to.
Penguin tries to motivate Vic to become a better version of himself so that they can rise to power together, but Oz's words only make it clear that Gotham will always be doomed to repeat its vicious cycle. Oz Cobb's comment is a prime example of why The class war in Gotham City will never endas the few who have power will always try to continue to stay in that situation by doing whatever they can to stay rich. Oz's speech simply gives characters like Vic the "right" to step over others on their way to the top and break whatever rules they have to.
