The Bachelorette Season 21 lead Jenn Tran wants to get engaged at the end of her season, but after her hometown dates, it’s clear she shouldn’t because she needs more time. Jenn got her start at Joey Graziadei’s Bachelor Time. She was to his Top 6 women before he said goodbye to her right before his hometown dates.
Jenn was heartbroken, but she was ecstatic to accept the role of the lead The Bachelorette Season 21. She made history as the first Asian American Bachelor Franchise management. Although she’s been a strong lead and has made mostly good decisions throughout the season, Jenn’s focus on getting engaged is a mistake. After saying goodbye to Jeremy Simon after her hometown dates, she’s now headed to the Fantasy Suites with her last three men: Devin Strader, Marcus Shoberg and Jonathon Johnson. Here’s why Jen should leave the show in a relationship, but not with a ring on her finger.

Jenn Tran & Jeremy Simon may have had a long-term relationship
Jen only broke up with Jeremy because he wasn’t ready for an engagement yet
throughout The Bachelorette season 21, Jen and Jeremy have a sweet relationship. They repeatedly boasted that they made each other so happy. From their one-on-one date at Seattle’s Pike Place Market to their hometown date at Stew Leonard’s in Connecticut, they had so much fun together.
However, Jen and Jeremy get a wake-up call from Jeremy’s family, especially his mother, when she tells them that this isn’t a game or a show, but their real life. She thought Jeremy might be ready for an engagement with the right person, but it’s hard for her to tell if Jen is the woman because she’s only just met her. In addition, Jeremy and Jen did not express their feelings for each other before their hometown date. Although Jeremy told Jen that he fell for her at the end of the day, She said goodbye to him at the rose ceremony right in front of the fantasy suite.
Jenn and Jeremy seemed like a great match, but they simply weren’t ready to get engaged in the show’s short timeline. If they had met under normal circumstances in real life, they could have built a long-term relationship, but, instead, Jen broke up with him to get engaged. Perhaps Jeremy was Jen’s man, but she will never know because she wanted to rush into an engagement.

Jenn’s Final 3 men don’t seem ready for an engagement
Only Devin Strader said “I love you”
Until now The Bachelorette season 21, Jonathan and Marcus told Jen they fell for her, but only Devin said, “I love you.“ It’s hard to believe that Jen is talking about getting engaged to Jonathon and Marcus when both of them held back just a week before. Although Devin seems genuine, it is also possible that he is only telling Jen what she wants to hear, or what he believes to be true, so that he can continue on the journey with her.
Jenn definitely needs more time to get to know these people, rather than rushing into an offer.
It seems reckless of Jen to consider herself engaged to Jonathon and Marcus, who haven’t even told her “I love you” yet. For some reason, none of Jen’s connections with the people on The Bachelorette Season 21 seems strong enough to make such a huge commitment in the end. Jenn definitely needs more time to get to know these people, rather than rushing into an offer. It’s possible that Marcus, Jonathon, and Jeremy could all fall deeply in love with Jen if given the time they need.
moreover, Although Jen may believe she wants an engagement, she isn’t ready for it either. She has to hold back a lot with the men, because they didn’t express their feelings to her. If she slowed down and took the pressure off of them, things would unfold in a more natural way that would help her to be more confident about her final choice. An engagement at the end of The Bachelorette Season 21 is simply a bad idea for everyone.

The Bachelorette has a bad track record
Only 4 out of 22 Bachelorette couples are still together
The Bachelorette Began in 2003 with the engagement and eventual marriage of Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter. However, since then, only three other couples have stayed together. They include married couples Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried and JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers, and engaged couple Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko. Two Bachelorette Couples divorced since they got married after the show – Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum and Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo.
Since Becca Curfrin s Bachelorette Season 2018, every Bachelorette breaks off her engagementIncluding Hannah Brown, Clare Crowley, Taishia Adams, Katie Thurston, Michelle Young, Gabby Windy and Rachel Recchia. The bachelor And Bachelor in Paradise have similar checkered track records when it comes to lasting engagements that actually lead to marriage.
of 28 bachelors, Sean Lowe is the only one who married his final choice, Catherine GiudiciWhile Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar and Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson are still engaged, and Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell are still dating. Although Bachelor in Paradise Had some success, each couple from seasons 8 and 9 broke up shortly after the season finales. The time of the US Bachelor Franchise shows are too short for couples to commit to a life together after getting engaged.
It was very clear that the couples of the shows did not know each other well enough when they got engaged, and they could not make their relationships work in the real world. Jenn may be on track to make the same mistake, but she should be smarter about it and learn from those mistakes. After all, this isn’t the show’s first season. Jenn should not get engaged at the end of her season.

Jenn seems more focused on an engagement than finding the right person
The bachelorette shouldn’t have to end with a proposal
It seems that Jenn may choose the man who is ready for an engagement, rather than the man who is right for her. It’s possible this could be the same person, but if the show didn’t end with a proposal, Jenn could have chosen someone else. Jeremy and Jen had built a strong relationship, but they needed more time to develop a connection that was strong enough to decide if they wanted to get married.
It is unfortunate that the pressures of The Bachelorette Are causing Jen to make decisions based on engagement rather than the strongest relationship. She may be missing out on someone great just because they aren’t there yet. It takes time to get to know people, and the rushed engagements don’t work in most cases. Jen needs more time to get to know Devin, Marcus, and Jonathon before she gets engaged to one of them. Hopefully, Jenn will make the right decision and live happily ever after.
