Like many Shonen anime and manga, One piece is a series whose fans are often prone to powerscaling. The action-packed nature of the story causes people to constantly debate which characters are the strongest, and even when definitive hierarchies exist, they still look for ways to make certain characters bigger or smaller, all with the goal of furthering a specific agenda.
Power scale in One piece it’s something that will never truly go away, and in addition to individual characters, entire groups also fall victim to it. Because of how One pieceThe story is structured, each arc tends to revolve around fights between specific groups of people rather than one-on-one fights, and as such, power scale in One piece often involves trying to figure out how entire groups of characters compare to each other. At least with pirate crews, it’s easy to figure out how the strongest stack up against each other, and it’s worth investigating.

The Heart Pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 498; Episode 392
The Heart Pirates are the pirate crew led by Trafalgar Law, one of the original members of the Worst Generation and former member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. The Heart Pirates allied with the Straw Hat Pirates to defeat Kaido, which began as a ploy before becoming legitimate, and after Kaido’s defeat, they returned to being adversaries.
The Heart Pirates as a whole never had much time in the spotlight, but Law not only defeated Big Mom with Kid’s help, unlike the Kid Pirates, the Heart Pirates narrowly survived a one-on-one fight with the Emperor’s crew, namely the Blackbeard Pirates in the Egghead arcalthough they were still practically destroyed in the end. The Heart Pirates may not be the strongest of the top-tier pirate crews, but their power cannot be underestimated regardless.

Crusader Guild
First appearance: One Piece Chapter 1056; Episode 1083
Cross Guild is an organization of bounty hunters specializing in assigning bounties to marines, an idea that has filled the world with an uncontrollable amount of chaos. Although Cross Guild was primarily Crocodile and Mihawk’s idea, a variety of circumstances led to Buggy taking credit for everything, resulting in Buggy being recognized as an Emperor after Kaido and Big Mom’s defeat, despite him being just a figurehead. bow, Crocodile and Mihawk abuse daily.
Cross Guild is incredibly powerful just by having Crocodile and Mihawk as membersbut much of their military strength comes from Buggy’s mercenary group, Buggy’s Delivery, which recently took a hit when Harjudin and his fellow giants, Buggy’s strongest employees, left to join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. As such, even though they are recognized as an Emperor’s crew, it would be premature to rank the Cross Guild very highly among pirate crews.

The Straw Hat Pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 5; Episode 3
The Straw Hats are the main pirate crew of the One piece and as such, they are captained by series protagonist Monkey D. Luffy. The group gradually grew in power and notoriety over the years, and after the defeat of Kaido and Big Mom, Luffy was declared Emperor, making the Straw Hat Pirates one of the most notorious pirate crews in the world.
The individual members of the Straw Hat Pirates are all incredibly powerful fighters, but due to their small numbers and how difficult it is to gauge the power of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, the Straw Hats rank below many other pirate crews as an organization, despite the strength of their individual members. Defeating Kaido and Big Mom, for example, would have been impossible on their own, so it’s difficult to rank them very highly despite being the main characters.

The red-haired pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 1; Episode 4
The Red-Haired Pirates are the first pirate crew introduced in One piece and captained by “Red” Shanks, Luffy’s idol and Roger’s apprentice. Since Luffy met them, Shanks has become one of the Four Emperors, and as such, the Red-Haired Pirates are seen as one of the strongest pirate crews of all time. One piece.
The main group of Red-Haired Pirates is continually shown to be incredibly powerful, with them having notable feats such as Beckman forcing Kizaru to take a break and Shanks single-handedly destroying the Kid Pirates. However, they have also been known to ally themselves with glaringly weak pirate crews just because Shanks is their friend, making them solely dependent on the main group’s power. The power of the Red-Haired Pirates is broken by the lack of strong alliesand as such, they do not rank very highly relative to the other Emperors.

Blackbeard’s Pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 234; Episode 151
The Blackbeard Pirates are the pirate crew of Marshall D. Teach, that is, the eponymous Blackbeard. Blackbeard used his position as Warlord to infiltrate Impel Down and recruit some of the deadliest prisoners, and after killing Whitebeard and gaining his Tremor-Tremor Fruit along with his Dark-Dark Fruit, Blackbeard quickly built up power until take Whitebeard’s place as Emperor. .
Despite how new the Blackbeard Pirates are, the immense power and size of their crew still leaves them a force to be reckoned with, especially with the way they the Blackbeard Pirates added Kuzan, i.e. Admiral Aokiji, someone who can hold his own against Garp, into their ranks. It’s still difficult to judge their power thanks to how little they’ve done in recent years, but with how Blackbeard is poised to be one of the series’ final villains, that’s about to change very soon.

Big Mom Pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 651; Episode 570
The Big Mom Pirates are the pirate crew of the former Emperor Big Mom and are mainly made up of Big Mom’s children, the Charlotte Family. Big Mom was a notable member of the infamous Rocks Pirates, and after their disbandment, she became one of the biggest names in the New World and held that position for decades until she was defeated by Law and Kid in the Wano arc.
As the Emperor’s former crew, the Big Mom Pirates have been a force to be reckoned with since their debut; not only was Katakuri one of Luffy’s toughest opponents in One piecebut Big Mom was so powerful that Law and Kid narrowly defeated her by working together. The Big Mom Pirates’ current status following Big Mom’s defeat is up in the air, but they remain one of the greatest pirate crews to ever appear. One piecewithout considering.

The Beast Pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 595; Episode 513
The Beast Pirates, also known as the Pirates of the Animal Kingdom in some translations, are the pirate crew of former Emperor Kaido, who was once known worldwide as the strongest creature in the world. After the Rock Pirates disbanded, Kaidou slowly built power until he was recognized as Emperor, and also received the highest reward of all Emperors after Whitebeard’s death.
Not only are Kaido and his main fighters masters of Haki and the powerful Zoan Devil Fruits, but the Beast Pirates are also armed with powerful artificial Devil Fruits called SMILEs, courtesy of Donquixote Doflamingo, one of the Warlords who was also in Kaido’s service. The raw power of the Beast Pirates surpassed any other pirate crew in One piecepost-timeskip eraand if Luffy didn’t have the specific allies he did, it would have been impossible for them to have been defeated on Onigashima.

Whitebeard Pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 154; Episode 91
The Whitebeard Pirates were the crew of the late Emperor Whitebeard, Roger’s greatest rival, who was once considered the strongest man in the world. Following the deaths of Whitebeard and Ace in the Paramount War, the surviving members of the Whitebeard Pirates were defeated by the Blackbeard Pirates in another battle called the War of Revenge, and this loss has left the crew extinct ever since.
Although the Whitebeard Pirates disbanded, in their heyday they were easily the strongest of the Emperor’s crews thanks to their size and overall power, something further emphasized by Whitebeard being one of the few who could match Roger in his prime. and Marco having a set of impressive feats against the King and Queen in the Wano arc. The entire Marine forces were nearly destroyed by the Whitebeard Pirates alone in the Paramount Warand, in general, there should be no greater testimony to his power.

The Roger Pirates

The Roger Pirates were the pirate crew of Gol D. Roger, the legendary Pirate King who left behind the mythical treasure known as One Piece with his death. After Roger’s execution and the beginning of the Great Age of Piracy, the Roger Pirates broke up and went their separate ways, although many of them became heavily involved in current events, most notably Shanks, Buggy, and Rayleigh.
Not much is known about the activities of the Roger Pirates, but what little has been shown about Roger has always portrayed them as a nearly unstoppable force in One piecewith feats such as Roger’s explicit superiority over Whitebeard, Oden’s defeat of Kaido, and the Roger Pirates being the only ones to discover Laugh Tale perfectly representing their power. No modern pirate crew has surpassed Roger and the Roger Pirates, and overall, it’s easy to see why.

The Rock Pirates
First Appearance: One Piece Chapter 957; Episode 958
The Rocks Pirates were a legendary pirate crew commanded by Rocks D. Xebec, an enigmatic figure who sought to be king of the world. Very little is known about the Rock Pirates, not only because of how recently they were introduced, but because they were so dangerous that the World Government attempted to erase all traces of their existence after they were defeated in the God Valley incident decades before the history.
Not only were the Rock Pirates made up of some of the strongest characters in all of One piece like Whitebeard, Big Mom and Kaido, but the Rocks Pirates were so powerful that Roger and Garp had to work together to defeat them. Any enemy that would force Roger and Garp to work together is hard to imagine, but that fact easily makes the Rock Pirates the strongest pirate crew of all One piece.
