There are already over 200 cards available for players to collect and use in Pokémon TCG Pocketwith Psychic types proving to be one of the most powerful. While the main objective is to collect all the cards on offer, trainers can battle against AI, friends, and random players from around the world to earn rewards. This is the only way to regularly earn XP and level up other than logging in and opening your daily packs.
As in other games Pokémon series, some cards are much more useful in battles than others. Clefable
A quick start that impresses
Clefable will be overlooked by many players, but it can be extremely effective early in games. Like Rapidash in Fire decks, Clefable can be used while you stack energy on more powerful Pokémon on your bench in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Clefairy and its evolved form Clefable only require one energy to attack.
The evolved form, Magical Shot, deals 40 damage to your opponent, and I’ve found this leader Pokémon to be incredibly effective. This means that on your second turn you will have the potential to knock out the most basic Pokémon which will give you a starting point and disrupt your opponents’ game plan. Clefable is also bulky with 100 HP, allowing it to resist all but the strongest attacks.

Jynx
A potential late-game powerhouse
Jynx is a great option for having a surprise Pokémon in your deck at the end of the game to finish off your opponents. Although his single Psychic attack initially deals 30 damage, it has a lot of potential. The attack deals 20 more damage for each Energy your opponent’s Active Pokémon has. This means that if it has four energy, Jynx’s attack will do 110 damage. It’s a great option at the bank as a backup that can attack at the right time.

Gardevoir
The best support Pokémon offered
Gardevoir is one of the most effective support cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket and is crucial to the game’s meta deck. Even though Gardevoir’s Psyshot attack has 60 damage, that doesn’t make it one of the best Psychic cards. It has an ability that can be used whenever it is on the bench, Psy Shadow. This allows you to add Psychic Energy cards each turn to your active Pokémonmeaning you can add two at a time, halving the time it takes to build a four-energy attack. For the more powerful Psychic types, this allows you to quickly work up to the strongest attacks.
It is part of the Mewtwo EX meta deck. Mewtwo has to discard two energy cards when using its most powerful attack. However, by having Gardevoir on your bench, you can replenish these two energy cards in one turn, allowing him to attack again.

Genger EX
A disruptor with power
Gengar ex is another Pokémon with a strong ability to heavily disrupt an opponent, but it also has an attack that can eliminate most opponents. Gengar ex has the Shadowy Spellbind abilitymeaning your opponent cannot use any supporter cards while in the active location. These cards make a huge difference in what players can do and greatly limit their options, especially powerful cards like Sabrini.
Its attack itself, Spooky Shot, deals 100 damage, which will dominate all but the final stage Pokémon in one hit. It only costs three psychic energy and doesn’t discard any, so you can use it on consecutive turns. Gengar also has the highest HP of any current Psychic Pokémon Pokémon TCG Pocketwhich means that even the strongest attackers will have a hard time removing it.
Gengar’s standard card is also very strong, with an attack that deals 50 damage for just one Psychic energy.

Mewtwo EX
The strongest original Pokémon is still the best
Unsurprisingly, Mewtwo EX is the best Psychic-type card in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Along with the Pikachu EX deck, Mewtwo EX decks are the most popular for competitive players. Mewtwo EX has two attacks, with Psychic Sphere being an attack strong enough to deal damage, but its strength comes from Psydrive.
