After a busy first few years on Disney+, the MCU started to cut back on the amount of TV series it has been making. Agatha all the time was seen as one of those series that perhaps wasn’t a necessary addition to the cinematic universe, as it seemed questionable whether the villainous character of WandaVision could hold his own show. However, the series surprised a lot of people by not only being an amazing and unique show in its own right, but also adding some fun new elements to the MCU.
Much of the show can be credited to star Kathryn Hahn, whose performance as Agatha Harkness in WandaVision allowed her to become a breakout character. Standing out on her own, Hahn brings a lot to the character, blending her skills in comedy and drama to add interesting layers to the complex creation. However, she is also supported by a strong ensemble, including standout performances from Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, and Patti Lupone.
