Terrifier 3 Director Teases One Kill Aimed To Outdo Terrifier 2’s Bedroom Scene

Terrifying 3 Director Damien Lyon has teased one kill in the upcoming slasher sequel that is set to surpass Terrifying 2s controversial bedroom scene. The second installment of the slasher franchise features its main antagonist, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) murdering a girl named Ally (Casey Hartnett) in her bedroom within minutes. The series garnered its reputation for going all out in the scene, which saw the girl die in an over-the-top, torturous fashion. Given the level of detail in the movie, it’s unclear if the upcoming sequel will be able to rival it.

But, talk to Screen RantLeone explains how much writing Terrifying 3S kills involved competing not only with the previous installment, but also other movies in the genre, vi Saw. The director highlighted how the kills in the franchise take established horror tropes and put new spins on them, with Psycho Be a heart inspiration for his favorite scene in the upcoming movie. He teases the gory scene rivaling Terrifying 2s bedroom sequence will involve Art the clown wielding a chainsaw against two people in the shower. Check out what Leone had to say below:

It is always difficult, because the pressure is always mounting. The expectations are getting higher and higher as we go on. When David and I do conventions, one of the most popular questions we get asked is, “How are you going to achieve the previous kill scene? Do you think you got it this time?” It’s like, “Oh boy.”

So, I always aim to try my best, and I try and hope that inspiration strikes when I’m writing the scenes. You never know where it will come from. There are only so many things to the human body. We’re not only competing with ourselves in the movies, we’re competing with every other SOV movie, every other movie that comes out with these brutal kill scenes. Almost everything is done.

But the theme of Terrifier’s Kills has always been taking traditional kill scenes that you’ve seen a million times, but then putting another spin on it, because the art isn’t very elaborate. He’s not Jigsaw, where he comes up with the crazy contraptions or the machines – which are amazing. I’m just saying he just grabs a gun and kills someone. So, it’s just about doing it in a very different way, or a more graphic way, or putting a twist on it.

So, for this film, one of my favorite kills started with nothing to do with Terrifier. I will watch horror movies that I love, and one of them is Psycho, one of my favorite movies of all time. I watch it once, twice a year, and I’ll be like, “Wow, if Hitchcock made that today, would he shoot that the same way? Would he be a little more graphic with the way it’s portrayed? Would he show More penetration with the knife?” I know if I was given the chance to remake Psycho or something—which I’ll never get the chance—I said, “I would show everything that Messer could possibly do. It would be the most graphic scene you’ve ever seen. “

And now, since no one will let me remake Psycho, I’ll just say, “Well, I’m going to make my own spray kill scene, and I’m going to make it as crazy as possible. And instead of a knife, I’m going to give Art a Chainsaw instead of one person in the shower, I’ll put two people in the shower. And that’s how a scene like that is born in your head.

That’s the beginning, and then it just becomes, “Well, what can we do? How many gags can we fit into this sequence? How many limbs can we show him chopping off? What are some interesting things he can do with that chainsaw?” ? and so on.” That’s how a scene like that unfolds, so I think when you see Terrifier 3, and you get into the shower scene, be prepared.

What Terrifier 3’s Wildest Kill Says About The Movie

It may still surpass Terrifier 2

The history of Terrifying 3 Takes place five years after the original movie, with Art returns for revenge against Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera), who killed the supernatural clown in the previous movie. The new installment will also see the return of Victoria Heyes (Samantha Scaffidi), who will aid the clown in his murderous holiday rampage. Although it was unclear if the Christmas theme coupled with a new villain would lead to a scene rivaling Terrifying 2It seems that Leone already knows what sequence will be just as blood-splattering.

Leone’s teasing for the shower scene indicates Terrifying 3 Could be even more memorable than the second installment, especially if the sequence is wilder than the bedroom kill. Art the Clown’s killing spree is bound to have multiple murders throughout, though, meaning there are bound to be plenty of memorable death sequences beyond just the spree. This could make the sequel the best installment in the series, made stronger by Leone’s plans for even more.
