Terrible Star Wars theory makes Return of the Jedi’s end so much darker

The Star Wars franchise has had its share of dark moments over the decades, Return of the Jedi included. Many terrible things have been shown and inferred in these Star Wars Movies and TV shows. Theories have long since begun discussing some of the darker moments in the franchise, but this one takes the cake. It’s morbid and awkward, and it makes a lot of sense.

A theory about the fate of the storm troopers in Return of the Jedi Again started the discussion of what happened to them at the end of the movie. Any troops that were alive likely either surrendered or kept fighting for the empire, as seen in Star Wars Battlefront IIs story surrounding Operation Cinder – but it was never confirmed what became of the troopers who died on Endor. What the theory says makes the ending of the movie much darker.

What happened to the stormtroopers that the EVKs killed?

Something very, very terrible

in return of the jedi, After the Battle of Endor, the Rebels are partying with the rest of the galaxy after the destruction of the second Death Star. Stormtrooper helmets are used as drums by the Ewoks… But with no bodies on screen. One can easily assume that they just took the helmets off the bodies of the soldiers. But, according to the theory, the Ewoks have even more than that. As mortifying as it is, the theory makes sense.

The theory is that the Ewks took the bodies of the storms they killed and ate them. The wild theory creates a surprisingly dark moment at the end of the movie. The tone throughout the sequence is one of happiness and joy at the defeat of the evil Imperial order; HOh then having hints of the Ewoks eating their prisoners is pretty mindblowing. However, in the grand scheme of things, this justifies why there are no bodies at the end of the movie, aside from the morbidity.

Return of the Jedi indicates the YWKS are cooking their prisoners

What else could have happened to the bodies?

Star Wars Return of the Jedi - Ewoks - Battle of Endor

in Return of the JediThere are bonfires scattered throughout the village as a great feast is about to begin – and that feast may have been troupe meat. As terrifying a possibility as this might be, it would make sense for the Ewoks to use whatever meat they had available to them at the end of the battle. They are a species that makes excellent use of their environment and the limited resources available to them. How else would they be able to eat a whole village, plus the people, for dinner? Although, hopefully, none of them ate the meat.

Although the theory may have been parodied by media, a recent revelation in a Star Wars The book provides insight into this. More specifically, it goes into depth on how the Empire believed that the Rebel Alliance treated its prisoners. Apparently, they are afraid of their treatment of prisoners, which is saying something.

Star Wars hinted that this was a major reason why the Empire was fighting

According to Dr. Chris Kempshall The Rise and Fall of the Galactic EmpireThe Empire believed that this was how the Rebellion would treat prisoners upon capture – not that the Imperials were humane in their treatment of prisoners by any means. Whether this was true or propaganda created by the Imperials to avoid the rebellion, it clearly took off. This mindset helps explain why so many Imperials are strongly opposed to the Rebels And their success, apart from the obvious.

Because the rebellion is seen as an organization that eats its prisoners upon capture, would surely drive soldiers to fight as hard as possible, eNot that they would rather die than be caught. It would also make a black mark on the rebellion which would probably go too far. As for the Ewoks, they definitely ate the troopers on Endor.

The dark theory has been a talking point among audiences for many years. Among all these Star Wars Theories out there, this one probably has the most merit. This talking point is accepted by many as what happened. Still, the latest revelation in Kempshall’s book adds a little extra depth into why the Imperial troops fought so hard and why their hatred of the Rebellion was so intense. Still, if it is really the case that the Ewoks ate the corpses of the dead troopers in Return of the JediWhich would be pretty morbid, even for Star Wars.
