Survival Ascended feature update may make ASA worth checking out

Ark: Survival Ascended Players who have lapsed may be tempted to finally return to the game since the latest patch adds a wealth of exciting new features. While the upgraded version of Survival evolved Studio Wildcard has had a somewhat rocky post-launch experience, has done its best to listen to the audience and provide a lot of high-quality content updates that build on the already successful formula. The latest patch introduces a massive new biome and a major technical upgrade that should make the game smoother for everyone.

According to an official update on Survival ascendeds blog, Studio Wildcard has confirmed that the highly anticipated Aberration Ascended map will be available in the game from September 4th.. If that’s not exciting enough, the patch also introduces these Steampunk Ascent expansion for Bob’s Tall TalesAllowing those with the DLC to explore even more of the strange world. Finally, AMD FidelityFX Frame Interpolation will likely be included in the patch, providing all players on console and PC with a performance boost of roughly 80%.

Aberration Ascended is a massive deal

While most Ark Players are probably already familiar with Aberration as one of the most interesting maps in the game, Studio Wildcard wants to make it clear that The Ascended version is more of a simple new environment. The developer describes it as “A complex ecosystem filled with dangers and beauty” Contained in a sprawling underground world full of new creatures and biomes. This version will include the community-voted creature Yi Ling, a fast and deadly raptor with the ability to climb walls, as a free addition.

As for Steampunk Ascent, the next chapter in Bob’s Tall Tales introduces perhaps the most exciting feature: Cosmo, a spider on the wrist that carries a line of webbing like a grappling hook. This new “tool” can be used to navigate particularly dangerous environments and also looks like an expensive accessory. Additionally, the expansion also allows users to team up with Sir-5rM8, an Ottoman companion powered by steam and cogs.

Tying it all together is FidelityFX’s implementation, A major piece of tech that should hopefully solve some of the technical hiccups the community has been experiencing Since Ark: Survival Ascended Launched. The Unreal Engine 5.4 update is a little longer than expected, but with all this content, players should be happy for the next few months. Those who are sick of the junky survival game may finally have the excuse they need to go back into the wilderness again.
