The official Uncut trailer released by AdHoc Studio (via YouTube) after TGA highlighted more about what players can expect when Expedition will be released in 2025. Combining dark humor with a setting not unlike a mash-up of The office and a superhero universe similar to that of Marvel, gameplay appears to revolve around a choice-based narrative with management simulation elements. A hilarious comedy that looks visually stunning
The trailer gives just a hint of the comedy and humor we'll likely see in the full release. As we already know, the game won't shy away from darker jokes and NSFW jokes, which should help differentiate it as a superhero game, as the genre tends to fall into the more family-friendly category. With its office ambiance and general sense of everyday mundanity, the trailer exudes, Expedition targets a more mature audience not just through its jokes, but also through its characters and setting.
ExpeditionThe artistic style of also helps it stand out as a unique and very promising title. The bright, colorful cartoon aesthetic is more reminiscent of an anime than a video game, making it feel very visually different from any other game scheduled for release in 2025. Its vibrant, comedic style is definitely unique, bringing into focus a very visual and attractive game that really stands out. With witty writing, a distinctly colorful art style, and an intriguing plot, Expedition is already standing out in the crowd of new game releases.
