is a one-woman army armed with super-powered abilities that match her formidable might on the battlefield, with her trusted friend, confidant and lover, Steve Trevor

Just recently biting the big one in DC Comics continuity. A tragic, heartbreaking and almost unbelievable turn of events, Steve Trevor’s last words to Wonder Woman become a hopeful and poignant promise of a future Diana and fans can look forward to.

War against a mysterious group working for an increasingly hostile and militarized US government, Wonder Woman and her fellow Amazons are hunted and condemned for a number of issues now, resulting in the ever loyal Steve also becoming a target of interest just like Diana.

Wandering in the waves around Themyscira, Wonder Woman traverses dimensions to meet Steve just as he crosses the threshold from one world to another. Sitting alone on a small rowboat, Steve tells Diana that he knocked out Charon, the ship’s ferryman, and begins to talk about how much he loves her as the couple try to prolong their final emotional moments. Commemorating the memory of his late grandmother, Steve tells Diana, “I just think…your story is like ours. It can’t end in death,” telling Wonder Woman – and fans – that this is not The end for themFar from it.
