One 1997 Stephen King short story based on a Alfred Hitchcock Gifts episode directed by the horror filmmaker is being adapted into a feature film. King often turned to various media to craft his scariest and most memorable stories, often citing horror novelist HP Lovecraft as one of his most influential inspirations.

Now, Deadline reports that King's 1997 short story “Autopsy Room Four” is getting a film adaptation from writer-director Ranjeet S. Marwa and producer Jon Levin. Appearing in the short story collection Everything is eventualThe story follows a man who wakes up to discover he is trapped in an autopsy room. The story is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock Gifts episode “Breakdown”, which was also directed by the famous horror filmmaker.
