Stardew Valley player makes horrible mistake that costs them a rare item

ONE Valley of the Stars The player recently shared details of a painful game error on social media, sparking sympathy for the sufferer Star community. While it has a reputation for being a relaxing game and arguably sparked the golden age of cozy gaming we find ourselves in now, Star It’s not always easy. Time is strictly limited, both by day and by season, and it is very easy to make a fatal mistake that costs thousands of dollars and several unique items. This player’s mistake wasn’t that drastic, but it resulted in a devastating loss.

Reddit User SmallDJS1234 in solidarity with the Valley of the Stars community after releasing their one and only Ancient Fruit

in a seed manufacturer

in hopes of generating more ancient seeds. However, instead he spat out a handful of mixed seedsa relatively low-value item that generates a random harvest based on when and where they are planted. The player’s words imply that he didn’t have a living Ancient Fruit plant – just a piece of fruit – so getting another one would probably be very time consuming.

The player has some flaws here, but that’s mostly the result of terrible luck. Whenever you place any crop into a seed manufacturer

in Valley of the Stars, there is a very low chance – less than 2% – of producing a packet of Mixed Seeds

instead of seeds for the input crop. In general, it’s best not to put such a rare fruit into a Seed Maker until you have at least two, but the chances of this going wrong are so minuscule that anyone could be forgiven for making this mistake.

Why Losing Old Fruit Is So Important

And how the community responded

Ancient Fruit is one of the most profitable crops in the world Valley of the Starsbut it is also one of the most difficult to obtain. Ancient Seeds

can be purchased for 1,000 ga pop, but are rarely found in stores. Instead, most get their first bag of seeds by discovering them in artifact form – a Ancient Seed

– and donating it to the museum. This only gives you a single seed, but luckily, ancient fruit plants are evergreen and will continue to produce fruit every seven in-game days.

Losing an Ancient Fruit to a Seed Manufacturer is tragic, not only because they are so rare, but also because they have so many uses. They are one of the components of the Lost Package and can also be used to set up a profitable Ancient Fruit Wine operation. Fortunately, some players, such as shinebaby1402offered excellent advice.

That’s right: just as there is a small chance of any crop producing mixed seeds in a seed maker, there is an even smaller chance of any non-ancient fruit harvest producing Ancient Seeds. The odds are incredibly low – just 0.5% – but it is possible to cheat this system. By setting up multiple Seed Makers, LittleDJS1234 could probably passively produce a usable Ancient Seed without much effort. Others, like coal crossing I had a simpler suggestion.

Sometimes, starting the day over (the Star equivalent to loading your most recent save) is all you can do. As long as the player found the Ancient Fruit a day earlier, they could start over with it in their inventory and try again in the Seed Breeder until they produced the right type of seed.

Screen Rant’s opinion: Stardew accidents happen to everyone

We are all to blame

Starcommunity was able to offer a lot of sympathy here because we all did something similar. Last night, I was trying to complete Willy’s quest to catch a Lingcod

which I abruptly realized had been on my mission list for at least a year. I spent a whole day trying, finally caught one and came home with an inventory full of fish. Without thinking, I put one on mine Fish smoker

smoke randomly at night before going to bed. I woke up and discovered, to my horror, that I had smoked my only Lingcod.

So I spent the next day fishing too and managed to catch one a little early. I ran to the main square with Lingcod

in hand, hoping to catch Willy when he arrived at the bar. But I was stuck between the door and Marnie, also arriving for her evening drink, and when I pressed the button to enter, Instead, I handed the fish to a confused (but good-natured) farmer.

On the third day, I finally managed to catch a Lingcod and give it to Willy without incident, for a soft fish reward of 550g. Was it worth the effort? Absolutely not. Have I found myself in almost identical situations over and over again? Absolutely. For that reason, I completely understand the pain of accidentally giving up your only Ancient Seed in Valley of the Starsand I’m sure the rest of the community can too.
