Star Wars Outlaws’ next patch makes combat significantly more interesting

Star Wars Outlaws fans should prepare to grab their blaster once again as Ubisoft reveals what players can expect from the game’s next major update. Since the game’s release, developer Massive Entertainment has consistently released patches to fix some of the Outlaws‘ persistent questions. The general response to player feedback has been encouraging, especially as the community offers many valuable insights into the unstable stealth system and combat, which is poised for a major update.

Writing in the official Star Wars Outlaws blog, creative director Drew Rechner explained how Massive is rebalancing combat to be a more enjoyable experience overall. Some highlights include headshots that have become more rewarding, while the stats of all weapons, enemies, and armor have been adjusted. to make everything more distinct. Enemies now have unique weak points that can be targeted with a precision shot, and new kill and hit animations aim to give combat an extra weight that was missing in previous versions of the game.

What else is going on with the bandit fight?

It’s all about impact

Rechner goes on to explain that Massive has spent the last few months evaluating “gun feeling“, a decision that led the team to update aspects such as “recoil, rate of fire, ammo and accuracy for each weapon.” Certain weapons, like the Ashiga ABR-2 Zato Blaster rifle, have even had their fire pattern redesigned to make them more unique. Perhaps most exciting is the addition of a “shoulder swap” mechanic that should make coverage much smoother, solving a major frustration that many players experienced when Outlaws released for the first time.

All of these changes sound incredibly promising, especially since most players probably weren’t expecting Massive Entertainment to overhaul combat so drastically. Given how much Outlaws consists of combat, It probably took a lot of work for the studio to implement many of the changes mentioned above. The update is scheduled to go live on November 21st, the same day the game will be released. Wildcard DLC releases.

The combat changes on the bandits are fantastic

Massive’s efforts must be recognized

I think the general combat changes in Star Wars Outlaws they are a fantastic advancement for the game. As much as I liked it Outlaws‘ shootings, there is an undeniable lack of impact in achieving goals; It’s a problem I think is made worse by the fact that many of the weapons look identical. Massive Entertainment’s emphasis on providing more diversity in the types of weapons players can use could be the key to solving the problem.
