Amid discussions Star Wars‘ future, specifically on the big screen, a new report emphasizes how the franchise may have made a huge mistake by killing off so many of its own characters. Star Wars has proven that it’s not afraid to kill off its biggest characters since Obi-Wan Kenobi met his destiny in Star Wars (later renamed A New Hope). Unfortunately, however, the continuation of this pattern has led to many of the Star Wars best characters being killed off – from Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader to Return of the Jedi for Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Now, a source said THR that Lucasfilm is starting to feel the weight of these missing options, like “the closet is a little empty“when it comes to characters who can lead the attack Star Wars next era.
This left Rey as perhaps the only prominent figure capable of doing this, as even recent popular characters – such as The MandalorianDin Djarin and Grogu and AhsokaThe titular non-Jedi either have not yet proven their cinematic worth or simply cannot extend their stories to that distant period. There aren’t many options left to Star Wars.
